A few months ago I criticised and lambasted a certain Chelsea player for being mediocre and boring. He was the root of all our problems, as I saw it, and I was wishing we never should have set eye's on him. Time has passed and the incumbent managers have kept faith, and behold Jorginho is a hidden gem. I say hidden as most commentators do not tend to highlight the unbelievable talent this man has for being in the right place at the right time. There is a reason we are champions of Europe and Italy are doing so well, some players catch the eye and get applauded for it and some do the hard stuff like Jorginho. Hat is off to you fella keep up the good work, and the Blue Flag of course.
Spot on ! Our midfield general has shook off all the criticism and has now established himself as indispensible for Club and Country. I should help you eat some of the " humble pie " ! If Italy win the cup Jorginho has to be in with a shout for the "Balon D'or" surely ?
Certainly when playing for his country he looks a different class altogether. I still think his lack of pace means he often struggles with the physicality of the PL. Far better though he is under Audi, he is just that bit below expectations for me in our blue shirt.
If he has, we should re sign him. Best midfielder going, far better than Jorghino every day of the week. Jorghino looks world class in a 4 week Competition, and all credit to him but not in the grind of a 10 month PL marathon, when you have to do it week in, week out. That's why KDB got all the votes he did in player of the year, and Jorginho got bugger all. Jorghino, better for Chelsea than last season, KDB, best in the PL several years in a row. No contest.
Now you're talking !!!! That combination would take some beating. I think Jorginho needs another similar player in our squad, so he can be rested more. When he's fresh and raring to go he's a completely different player than the sometimes lethargic games he can put in. That said he is miles better than pre Audis arrival, our manager can definitely take credit for improving several of his players, Jorginho most of all.
Strange decision on the face of it. Maybe Conner Gallagher will get a shot in the squad this season, with a more experienced Billy back next one, and Jorginho /Kovacic moving on end of 2022 season ?? Solid enough win against Denmark, despite a dodgy penalty almost butchered by Harry Kane. Denmark looked a class below most of the game apart from Schmeichel who was outstanding. Italy will be a different ballgame and Pickford in particular, needs to up the ante against a far more lethal strike force. Surely Southgate will play a more spirited attack, Foden, Grealish would start normally to inject some needed flair and mix things up more ?? Fingers crossed, it is all on the table, so hope we finally see a home win this time.
