Match Day Thread EURO 2020(1?)

These Italian players are such a bunch of fakers. It's been a wonderful tournament and Italy are playing great football, but their behaviour is ****ing disgusting.

 

England are the highest ranked team left in the competition....

 

Wouldn't be shocked if Spain beat Italy. Would be a very Spanish thing to do after scraping through each round.

 

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Stop the clock when a player is injured. It'll stop the fake time wasting nonsense.

 

Average Italy beat the world number one team by looking like the world number one team. Cracking game. I hope Saints players/management were watching how the quick vertical passing breaks the opposing team’s press.

 

If they weren’t already, Italy must be favourites to win it now.

 

Italy 2/1, England 9/4. Not much in it at all. Bookies, unsurprisingly, expecting an England v Italy final.

I want ANYONE to win other than Italy. They play some great football, clearly score some beautiful goals, and then there is all the other bullshit. Makes me sick.

 

Any team would be timewasting at the end there. I mean, I hate it, but it’s not just Italy.

Agreed. Would we be moaning tomorrow after 85 mins in the same situation with say Grealish off injured ?

Don't agree and not my bias saying it, but they did what they had to do.

I would say if we get to the final I want anyone but Italy (so Spain then lol). I really think this Italian side have a trophy in them

 

They might find Spain tricky, they keep the ball so well, though lack a cutting g edge.

 

I have a sneaking admiration for Italy's skullduggery. Always have done, especially since the days of Football Italia on Ch4. Their world class fouling i find especially admirable, in a perverse way.

 

Think I’m too British, and just find it too much.

 

If we get to the final, I would love it to be against Italy. Two teams we never beat are Italy and, er, Germany.

 

True, but I have more reasons for it.

I am pretty convinced I wouldn't be compromised emotionally, but there is a nagging feeling in me that wants Italy to win every game...Just like England. It really is a strange feeling. To be honest, it was easier when my mum was around, but now it is weird. Really weird.

 

For me it's not the time wasting, it's trying to get opposition players booked or sent off.

 

Not just talking about the time wasting. The clutching of faces, the screams of pain, the rolling around. It never ends.

Just get up and play football, you're clearly good at it. Stop trying to cheat too.
