So hot day and no cold beer because I've had a new fridge delivered and have to wait until I can turn it in.

Went to Asda put some beers in the freezer going back to buy them in an hour. #genius

Sat in doctor's waiting for my knees to be looked at. I know I'll get the usual guff about resting (which contradicts what they should be saying exercise wise) but I'll push for it to be properly looked at.

Then home, cricket training, Italy v Belgium in cricket club.

More cricket nets in the morning and then some golf.

Will watch England at home, would rather that nail biter in my own.


Probably arthritis by the way, next step is x rays.

Search and rescue has been suspended in Miami. Storms are forecast for tomorrow and they need to bring down the remaining standing unsafe structure, before the storm and proceeding any further.

Tbph, I can't see them pulling anyone out alive now, the thing pancaked, whatever they find now is not going to be pleasant.

Yeah no chance of anybody being alive now even if they were in a void they’d have dehydrated by now.

 

I was watching the rescuers on some American channel the other day, they were literally up there with buckets, moving rubble by hand. I wasn't convinced their methods were having any gain, but I assume the people organising them are use to dealing with disasters and know far more about this shhite than my observations.

 

Seen a really nice trend lately, had a few workmen (plumber and carpenter) do work for free and both of them said "just do someone a favour yourself". Small jobs probably would have normally charged £10 or £20. I'm no good at work like that but in the cafe today with Mrs luv we noticed a girl by herself crying at her table so I went and paid her bill, best thing was that that the owner had already noticed and was going to give her the food on the house anyway which is again really nice of them. Small things but I really hope the world may have learned a thing or two over the last 18 months.
