Leeds were too big to tun down - Miller Amari Miller has been discussing his move to West Yorkshire with YEP's journalist Ritchie Boon. The highly rated 18yo winger penned a four year contract with the Whites having rejected a host of Premiership teams including Southampton and Everton. “It’s a great feeling, not just for myself but for my family,” “The minute I heard Leeds United were interested, I knew what a massive club it was and it was too big to turn down. My family, friends and everyone who knew about it have just been brilliant. “I feel like I must thank Birmingham City so much, because I have been there since the age of 10. It has been the place where I have learnt the most, I couldn’t have asked them for any more, they gave me everything I needed to get to this stage and help me progress. “They’ve helped me to get a club like Leeds United to come in for me and I am thankful to be given such a good foundation from them.” “As soon as I spoke to Victor Orta and the club, I said to my agent that this was the one. "It’s a massive club with great fans, I have had loads of fans messaging me already and I feel like it’s a huge club for me. “As a winger, I can see Leeds get a lot of one v one chances which is something I really back myself in. They play quickly and at a high tempo, they press high up the pitch and train with such a high intensity which is unbelievable. “I would say I am skilful, good at finishing and composed. Even coming from outside of Leeds, it’s amazing to see yourself at such a club like this." please log in to view this image
yeah you probably right lol. it was my money that did it. he was 2/1 and I put 50p on him and he went to 10/11 lol.
Morning all When will the sports media use their brains. I would say it must be blatantly obvious by now that our priority left back signing was going to be Junior Firpo, and that deal is expected to be done this week with the kid flying in for a medical this weekend. Yes something could happen to stop it, but for the lazy journos who are pumping out stories like: Leeds gutted as Perraud rejects them for Southampton Perraud not going to Leeds Javi Galvan will not join Leeds Galvan wants to stay in La Liga We are not buying more than one LB idiots, but the best stuff today revolves around Nahitan Nandez: Leeds dont have the money to pay the release clause Radz does his best to seal Nandez deal Nandez is almost certain to play for Leeds Utd Bielsa demands Nandez signature Leeds want to pay half now half next season Nahitan cannot wait to meet Bielsa again Behind the black smoke there is white smoke Nandez wants to play in Spain My view is that at £30m he too expensive, but if he can be got cheaper then its a no brainer, hes a worldy. But slightly better is De Paul and we refused to pay £30m. So if that's the case it wont happen and Orta must be peeing himself as he signs a different top class midfielder nobody had thought about
Just an observation of this site and how I think its changed over the years. I remember being on the golf board and the cycling board. Just thought I would have a quick look on the cycling board to see what was written about Cavendish’s fantastic stage win yesterday, but sadly looks like these boards are unused for years, if that's the case why not reduce the size of the whole board so the content is just football and a few other sports where contributions are still happening?
There is a computer company call Overclockers. They have a forum and it’s excellent. They do it like this, they have a sports forum and everything comes under that section. They’ll have a thread for cycling, rugby, gym rats and so on
Still more stories stating Nahitan Nandez deal is close and now there are more saying a deal is close, than deffo not happening. If this deal does happen it will mean a rethink on Noa Lang or some of the other top wingers we’ve been linked with as we will have shelled out maybe £25m on Harrison and Junior already, which means the winger price will need to be in the £15m bracket. A player mentioned in here last Xmas was England U21 star who plays for PSV, Noni Madueki who we are being linked with again. Leicester and AC Milan are also trying to sign him?
In regards to transfer fees, we’ve lost the wages of Pablo and Berardi and possibly Alioski. The 49ers invested more funds, we finished higher than expected, I think the money is there if we need it
Agreed but dont think the club will spend more than last Summer because we spent £17m on Costa, £27m Rodrigo, £13m Koch, £14m Llorente and £17m Raphinha = £88m spread over contract periods. £30m for Nandez, £11m Harrison, £14m Junior = £55m just on those three which becomes £70m with Madueke at £15m or £80m if Lang costs £25m
I've benefitted several times from using someone's season ticket for free. Returned the favour over the last 2 championship season to others. Wonder if that will be a thing of the past in the new age? Hopefully I'm just being cynical and it'll be a genuinely good thing.
So tomorrow Bielsa's and Alioski current contracts are "officially" up and are free men. Surely tomorrow or at latest Friday have to be the days for Bielsa to be announced as he won't get paid from tomorrow lol. If its been done and dusted and signed for weeks, tomorrow has to be the day right? if they just rolling on contracts. If it goes longer the club are either just delaying for whatever reason as the only other reason for it not to be announced is it's not signed and sealed. Alioski still 50/50. He's had enough time to think of a decision and we can't wait for him to humm and harr for any longer. I personally believe this is also done and dusted and is just awaiting confirmation. the last bone would of been thrown at Alioski before the Euro's and told you're either with us or or without us as we can't make future plans with you humming and harring. I think the club are going to have a day of don't go to bed just yet moments on twatter tomorrow or Friday to build some excitement for the new season ahead and telling fans here we go the ball is rolling Bielsa has to be the first signing of any 1st team signing as it just makes complete sense. you don't sign players before your Manager is agreed as I'm 100% certain any player coming in wants to know who is in charge for next season. you don't go to Firpo and say look come sign for Leeds sign please. His first question will be who's the coach and we go emmm we don't know yet. staggered Appointments Thursday or Friday throughout a day with Bielsa-Harrison-Alioski-Firpo
Think its time to say goodbye to the biggest ****houser we’ve had in years. Alioski must be leaving as there has been no announcement, so goodbye fella it was a blast and hope you enjoy the rest of your career bielsa signed last years contract the day before the season kicked off, so dates are meaningless to him. His brother does all his legal stuff and hes in Argentina and a very busy politician, so no dramas. It’ll be done. On top of Alioski going we also say bye to some decent blokes and a twat called Bhoy, LDB, O’Kane and Alioski, Berardi too
Some good points siddas and doc, I know Bielsa doesn't seem to care too much about money but his backroom staff might! Junior is a done deal according to the spanish sports press, pending on a medical, and I would imagine barca want to stop paying him asap. Harrison and Alioski will not be covered by the clubs health insurance if out of contract, and I'm not sure if the club can sell their merchandise.( Barca will have this problem also tomorrow with messi, their biggest shirt seller!)
