When France went 3-1 up they started getting cocky and it came back to bite them as did Spain earlier (although they recovered). Maybe a lesson for other teams including youth teams
on this tournament alone, mbappe just looks like a bloke who can run fast, shown very little of his 'top rated player' ability, i have to admit to not seeing a lot of him before this so anyone watching that will wonder what all the fuss was/is about, kante i expected more from and pogba actually looked better than he usually does for man utd. one player who i have liked to watch, (who i had never really heard of is embolo), not the finished article i reckon but looks a very tidy player.
France will be waking up this morning knowing that they threw away a great chance. It was a reminder to players like Pogba that there's celebrating a goal for your team, then there's demanding all of the attention and disrespecting your opponents. You could see the Swiss gritting their teeth and refusing to be extras in a Pogba production. I'm all for having characters in the game ... ... I just don't like his.
Agree. I thought his celebration was entirley selfish, arrogant and invited a response. I thought to myself at the time if I were a Swiss player I would smash him first chance I got. Credit to them for a much better response. France last night lacked desire and togetherness. I hope England lack neither tonight. Games of football are won by much more than individual skill or ability.

Only saw first half of the Croatia game as I had to work and turned the sound off after ten minutes as couldn't stand listening to the female co commentator, felt like I was being nagged at by her constant drivel and I get plenty nagging at home. Obviously missed a cracking night of football.
