Good Morning. It's Friday 25th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Danjuma's come and get me plea Bournemouth's Arnaut Danjuma has issued an SOS distress signal to Leeds Director of Football Victor Orta. The Nigerian born attacking midfielder grew up in Holland, and has represented the Dutch at senior level twice. He joined the South Coast team in the Summer of 2019 from Club Brugge for 13.7m though found life tough in his first season in the top flight. It's fair to say that Danjuma found his form last term. He netted 17 times, and was credited with 7 assists in 31 starts. Speaking to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, Danjuma was quoted as saying:- “Leeds is a bigger institution than Bournemouth, has a very nice history and they play Premier League. “And I don't think I can play another Championship season, I've outgrown the competition a bit. Leeds United would be a nice step.” For some reason the Cherries did not take kindly to his comments, so the 24 took to social media to explain his comments:- "Just to be clear I was put on the spot about a club in an interview and I was only trying to be respectful about them as I would any club, no way in a thousand years would I mean to be disrespectful about my club who has served me well for 2 seasons". please log in to view this image Nandez display in Copa America delights Leeds fans Leeds target Nahitan Nandez produced an exceptional display in helping Uruguay overcome Bolivia, and book their place in the quarter-finals of Copa America last night. He won 10/14 ground duels had a 87% pass accuracy with 34 passes and completed 5/6 dribbles. His quality and work rate is exactly why Bielsa has made the 25yo his top target this Summer! Having heard that Roma and Inter Milan have cooled their interest in the box to box midfielder, there is only one thing that is standing in Leeds way - a 31m release clause. Would you be happy for Leeds to break the bank to land Nandez? please log in to view this image
Morning all Uruguay are a top worldy International team these days with players like Vidal, Cavani and Suarez and Nahitan Nandez has been in this team as first choice AM for years and played almost 40 times for them and is still only 25. He plays for club and country as a DM, RW, AM and last night against Bolivia he played at RB and had a great game. Plenty of Leeds fans watched him and have been raving about him and even posted some clips of him nutmegging a defender and going around the last man to get a cross in for Edinson Cavani. Would love him at Leeds and is obviously a Bielsa type player as he plays anywhere, but?
