What's the point of all the ****ing around with traffic light codes for holiday destinations if there are more cases here than the places people want to travel to?

It might have something to do with the fact that we have vaccinated nearly 70% and the big majority of Europe are hanging around the 33% mark.

    Missing the point as usual.

We have more cases per 100k, thanks to the Johnson variant. Why should we be concerned about people travelling to places where the virus is less prevalent than it is here?

Eer it's called creating new variants.
I think in your smugness you obviously missed what the scientists said.

    Changing the point as usual.
The scientists said yesterday that due to the lack of vaccinations in Europe it was probably a good idea to stay away as this is how variants are caused... A bit like the kent and Delta.

For those of you with kids in their late teens or twenties, or if you are in that group (surely not on this old gits forum) there are loads of pop up walk in no appointment needed vaccination centres opening up today and for the weekend, with the aim of delivering second jabs for those in their 40s and first jabs for younger people.

My daughter, who joined us on a little break in Wales, has just had her Pfizer jab in Coventry (nearest centre to us). She was booked in for a vaccination in Newcastle on Tuesday, but will be staying with us a little longer while her housemates isolate for a bit, so thought it was worth trying to get done earlier.

Worth encouraging all those who have not yet been able to get an injection to do so. It’s the only way out of this. The sooner we, as a nation, are done, the sooner we can’t start helping others properly.

My son (18) had his first jag today, and I'm getting my second next week.

We know some people locally who have had both doses, and have still contracted Covid, and been hospitalised with it. Two of them from the same family are really ill. Pretty **** to be thinking you're safe and then get ****ed up....not convinced the vaccines are as great protection against the Delta variant as they were against the previous incarnations of the virus....thoughts, Stan & Beth?

My niece and my brother (her dad), both vaccines and both very unwell. 2nd time my niece has tested positive. I know a few people now who have had both jabs and are not well. Its strange because in the so called 1st and 2nd waves i didnt know half as many people who tested positive as i do with this Johnson variant.

According to what we have been told, they are still a sensational protection compared to many other vaccines. Not quite as good as before in preventing infection but just as good at preventing hospitalisation and death, apparently. And there is a big gap between the infection rate and the hospitalisation rate. I think I read yesterday that there are only 171 people in hospital with COVID in Scotland.

But they are not perfect and even 90% protection from serious illness leaves 10% at risk. Pretty long odds on two in the same family though.

    Good Evening Folks,

once in a while I keep following this thread and I am amused to learn, that most of you still believe the virus narrative. Well, I will get thrown out after that post anyway so I will have to be as precise as possible in a single post.

For once you should understand that they will keep on creating new variants as their goal always has been to get everyone vaccinated until the end 2022 (EU roadmap set up a long time ago which still applies for the UK). Their goal is to get us into ID2020 in order to achieve total control via contineous vaccinations (2 times a year) . They need those digital passports for a start and will replace it by implanting chips into your body. This is called Transhumanism and a long planned goal by the Fabian Society and others.

Since you won´t believe a word I am saying and still do not seem to comprehend that this is "The Great Reset" that I had talked about almost a year ago I will emphasize a few predictions for the very near future.

    - We will never return to the "old" normal before Covid, the "new" normal is now
    - We will see new fascism (it has never gone) under the "rainbow" colours - not brown (Hitler) anymore.
    - We will see climate lockdowns now most probably starting in late autumn (November latest)
    - We will face a blackout in most of Europe in autumn

Freedom is vanshing swiftly and you will see people not being vaccinated will be treated like the Jews in 1933 - 1945, a new apartheid deviding the society even more.

There is loads more to happen very soon. Mark my words no matter if you like it or not. Western society is dying.

Rgds - TTCK (formerly known as BH).

PS: Germany will win on penalties of course

Posting the same message on multiple threads ain't gonna help your cause BH.

So, you reckon the virus isn't real? Having seen what it can do, both in the short and long term, I'd have to disagree with you. It's a **** of a virus, even the short time that I had it floored me and I'm a relatively fit and healthy guy. As for my missus, she's still ill, 15 months after we had it. Therefore, any protection that myself and my family can have from contracting it again is more than welcome.

The idea of planting chips in to humans is decades old, and it really is a matter of technology catching up to enable it. It's logical, but also scary, rightly so as the management of the data is vulnerable (especially with those we have in charge of most of the major powers at the moment).

Most of the stuff you are promising here, you said would happen last year....maybe one day you'll be right - even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.

And you had me going there at the end...you think this England team is good enough to take Germany to penalties - ****, you're really deluded my friend <laugh>

Sorry mate, I do know that Beth will inform Admins asap and I only wanted to make their life harder to delete all my my posts. By the way, I do not care about any international games anyway. At the end it will be either Italy or France lifting the cup.
