They just need to keep it simple. I'd be up for an FA cup style format once it's past the group stages. KO is played over one leg and it's luck of the draw whether you're home or away. ET and Pens if the scores are drawn. Winner takes all.
They are doing away with away goals and creating extra time, the managers are always constantly moaning about the number of games they have to play, so the domestic FA Cup suffers as a consequence, by doing away with replays. So what do they do get rid of away goals, and create an extra 30 minutes of game time, you really couldn't make this shhite up sometimes. So basically we just robbed Peter to pay Paul.
Great Champions League winners did not need away goals rule to win the comp Winners who won CL and needed away goals rule should have an asterisk
And clubs who spend 400m to buy it should just give it back as no one classes them as real champs anyway
That would be utter **** imho lol I would have kept away goals until extra time Then reset score to 0-0 with no away goals
I feel your sarcasm lmao it’s really only in extra time where it becomes unfair having the away goals The thing is it’s different to the other cups That’s part of the fun for me It’s definitely a rule that has an effect on the tactics the one that I used to really dislike was when away goal were in the league cup and how they were used It was ridiculous
