Compared to some of the other teams I've seen this tournament watching England play is like watching paint dry. Really hard to stay awake during their matches.
Job done. Much to improve on but two wins and a draw with 3 clean sheets is far from a poor group stage. It’ll be a big game Tuesday though, likely to play one of the big hitters. Sterner tests to come for sure. Much rather see the lineup we saw starting this game than any of the other combinations we’ve seen so far.
Well we are not very exciting but winning is what tournament football is about. Saka was excellent in the first half and that was about it. Shame about the jocks
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." please log in to view this image
Is that it? I thought in the first half there was hope that we had a team. 2nd half Rev Southgate soon put a stop to that. Stop playing forward that's too risky. Rubbish!
Having lived in Scotland for nearly a decade, I had a soft spot for them coming into this tournament. But the way my work colleagues have acted since the 0-0 on Friday, I just have to say hahaha to Scotland going out while England win the group. I’m gonna enjoy tomorrow at work
I understand you wouldn't have enjoyed it, but the skill with the outside of his boot was excellent. I wanted Scotland to qualify for what it's worth.
Gonna have to while I can, unfortunately I think England will be going out next Tuesday. Also the Rangers fans seem to be less bothered about Scotland than other fans in my experience. They seem to have a beef with the SFA and a few I know probably prefer Northern Ireland to Scotland (central belt sectarian stuff still confuses me)
