Absolutely. Manchester, Leeds, East Mids, Luton Edinburgh and Teesside. All cheaper for going abroad when I have. I even flew from Gatwick to Austria when I went skiing about 14 5 years ago and it was cheaper to drive down and back and pay fir a week if parking than to take the same flight from up here!! it’d still be funny if they changed it!! The mags would be out in their thousands and would say “not bothered what it’s called, it’s Newcastle airport”. The meltdown would be epic to watch though
When I book a train ticket it tells me where to get on and where to get off, Bus stations are the same. BTW Gateshead is on the tyne... and has never asked for its name to be added to the airport... neither has Durham So why Sunderland?
When I get a train ticket I get about 30 tickets and I haven't got a ****ing clue what ticket to show to who and when. It's pot ****ing luck if I make it to my destination.
May I just point out that location naming an airport isn't necessary for travellers to "identify where exactly they are flying to." Take Liverpool airport for example. Formerly known as Speke airport, they adopted the name of one of their famous sons and renamed it "John Lennon" . Perhaps it could be renamed the "Néwçåstlë Peter Beardsley racist, George Ormond fiddler airport. Kinda gotta "Ring" to it
Newcastle Nonces WOLSINGHAM WOOL SHAGGERS SKUNKS SAUSAGE SWALLOWERS MAGPIE MOLESTERS NEWCASTLE NEW TRANSGENDERS GEORDIELAND GORMLESS B+W WILLYPULLER CENTRAL EXCREMENT EPICENTER
Tapped a lass up one night and in the throws of passion in the back of the car she said "kiss me where it smells" So I drove her to Newcastle.
May I point out that it's "Liverpool John Lennon Airport" Nig Liverpool John Lennon Airport Airport in Liverpool, England Liverpool John Lennon Airport is an international airport located in Liverpool, England. The airport is within the City of Liverpool on the banks of the estuary of the River Mersey some 6.5 nautical miles south-east of Liverpool city centre. Scheduled domestic, European, North African and Middle Eastern services are operated from the airport. The airport comprises a single passenger terminal, three general use hangars, a FedEx Express courier service centre as well as a single runway measuring 7,500 ft (2,286 m) in length, with the control tower south of the runway. This seems to have that ring of truth about it, wouldn't you agree Nig?
If you payed attention you fùcking gimp you would notice where I wrote. "Take Liverpool airport for example. Formerly known as Speke airport, they adopted the name of one of their famous sons and renamed it "John Lennon" . "Take Liverpool airport" "Formerly known as Speke airport" I then mention they adopted the name of a famous son "John Lennon". Are you keeping up at the back ? I then go on to say you fùckwits could do the same and use Nèwcæstlè pre (insert Geordie helmet) airport. Liverpool airport is generally referred to as "John Lennon airport" down here If Nèwçæstlë airport is mentioned people usually ask " Is that near Sunderland" ? Now fùck off you sceptic cock boil
Think I was mistaken when I posted it only comes on as rattled, more than likely only comes on when pissed
