Transfer Rumours Summer 2021

There have been a couple where a fee has been mentioned, but could just be paper talk.

 

The only "transfer" rumour I can recall where a fee would be involved is that 6' 9" giant from Solihull Moors. They play in the Vanarama National League and are not affliated to the EFL.

I doubt the EFL could block such a player's registration transfer because they don't have jurisdiction over National League clubs.

Never played first team in competitive games for the Arse but 24 appearances on loan at Ipswich last season.

Another one ftf although has played a good few games at League 1.

Do we need him with the Irish guy signed yesterday? If so then one of the main back 3 will go.

The advantage in getting him would be extra cover at right back.

 

"Monitoring the situation" could be translated as "looking on with envy".

It would be good if the club came out with a definitive statement regarding the transfer position.
Happy with them playing their cards close to their chest regarding available funds. Dont want sellers running the price up.

I'm more interested in seeing us actually making an offer for a player who's under contract to another club rather than just picking over the freebees.

That will tell us a lot more than the ITK forum gurus who think they have the inside track at the club.

Incidentally, we didn't pay any fee for McGuinness from Arsenal - he was acquired for free.

No cash changed hands but it looks like they've got a sell on clause at the least, and possibly a first option buy back if he comes good.
