Has anyone ordered and received the new home kit yet? I picked it up for the lad from the Saints shop yesterday and cannot work out how the AR works for the life of me.

Granted I'm a complete luddite with tech, but how does this stuff work?

    Thanks in advance!

    What’s an AR?

(You may have deduced I’m probably not the best person to help you!)

There's a Saints shop in Lincoln? I also don't know what an AR is, sorry mate.

Think the AR thing is like some scanning technology that's built into the shirt.

Yeah, so we're supposed to be able to "scan" the shirt and there's all sorts of goodies, but I can't get it to work for the life of me. Almost certainly user error on my part, granted

I looked up AR, it’s apparently like a QR code but it links to the Augmented Reality site AR.js, which does stuff I can’t understand.

It all sounds a bit like being injected with nanobots from Microsoft if you ask me…

I've advised him to just bloody well wear it and stop being difficult <laugh>

At £40 a pop I expect it to wash itself!

You paid £40! It would cost St Jabbo nearer £140 now to have it shipped to Holland.

Augmented Reality is basically you will see you will see what you would expect to see through your camera lens, but something will be animated as through it is appearing in the real space. (Same as Pokemon Go can make it look like you are catching a Pokémon while you are out on a walk). I used to have a muppets top with animal on which used AR so that if you scanned the top it had animal playing the drums.

We had AR in the 60s. Everytime I went to a festival the AR worked really well.
