Surely Wales have to be as positive as possible. Turkey certainly will. A draw unlikely to be sufficient given Italy is a slam dunk “home” win.
Page has to get a team and format to get the best out of his stellar players.

Tenuous link but talking of Stella/Gavin & Stacy......

I saw Dave Coaches on the news this morning. I'd never realised that he's actually a Jack in real life!

Absolutely.Bale doesn't take them for Spurs. Why Wales? He always leans back. Same for free kicks.

    Thought exactly the same thing.

Kieffer is on a high and has an excellent track record with pens.

Hartson is doing my head in.
    Who is Chrissy Gunter?
He actually said if Wales keep a clean sheet Switzerland need to win 5-0 to come 2nd.
Maths is obviously not his strong subject.<doh>

Embarrassing commentary, tough night but excellent achievement again by the team.

Thought the sending off was harsh TBF but even with 11 men I don't think we'd have played much better.
Certainly wasn't our greatest performance but showed plenty of spirit to hold out.

How good do Italy look though?

8 changes but still so fluid and quick around the pitch. Scary stuff but credit Mancini for the job he's done there!

I did think the ref was a little finicky towards us (definite yellow for Joe Allen despite Hartson's protestations, just for totting up reasons), yet Italy managed to get away with quite a few niggly fouls of their own and several foul throws when launching the ball back into play quickly.

Definitely the worst ref of the tournament so far from the games I've seen.

On we march though... Amsterdam here we come eh?
