    Germany always start tournaments slowly.

The Germans looked like Spain in disguise last night - lots of possession, and crisp passing, lots of huff and puff and promise but very few clear chances. How much would they love to naturalize Lewandowski <laugh> We've seen all the teams now - Belgium and France have squads full of World class players in every position and the Dutch are good for getting you sitting on the edge of your seat but the Italians impress me the most.

What a pass that was from Bale to set up the Wales goal.

So now he blows a penalty. Perhaps the Deeney school of spot kicks needs to be passed around.

That was not very inspiring even with a French commentary. :emoticon-0113-sleep

Is there anywhere I can apply to get two hours of my life back

I know we complained about the skill levels in the Championship las season but, there were only a couple of away games that were actually worse than we have just witnessed in one of the top football tournaments in the world

Well one team will be disappointed they didn't win that and it won't be England.

Scotland were very good and should have won really.

Just a single shot on goal from England and resorting to trying to win penalties at the end.

    Well done to Hungary.

Will France have to settle for 2nd in the group?

Hungary showed that if you defend with numbers you can stop the most talented of players. They also were prepared to go forward when possible making for an entertaining game.

That was one cracking goal by Germany - until VAR ruled it out. If I were the scorer I'd be having words with that teammate who strayed offside.

And Bale had a glorious opportunity to level the score.
