If VAR had checked the Sterling penalty appeal they’d have to have given it. Can’t understand why they didn’t check that yet earlier the Czechs got a penalty that should never have been
Do we want to win the group, winners play runners up of France, Germany or Portugal. Runners up have easier passage.
You've got to earn the right to play. To do thatyou have to work hard. Scotland worked hard, England didn't put the graft in. As a fan watching any side the bare minimum is workinghard. There are good performances and bad performances but you should always run hard. England failed to do thatand should be held accountable as a group.
Let’s be totally honest Rich , that’s a load of bollox. That was ****, they were ****, we were ****, it was just ****. For the first time in my life I find myself hoping Belgium, France, Spain, Italy or even the Krauts liven this up, crikes that was poor. If only the funny blokes with little short legs and green flags were there I feel I could support them.
Runners up in our group play the winner of France, Portugal, Germany. Winners of our group play the runners up of France, Portugal, Germany. France have beaten Germany and look favourites to win that group. If we don't beat Czech Republic then we probably play France in the next round. Either way... if we put performances like that in then we won't go any further than 2nd round anyway. I'm just glad Iceland aren't waiting.
I still don’t think Scotland deserved the win, a drawer was about fair, you only have to look at the Scottish team celebrating at the end, they feel like they’ve won the tournament. Foden, Sterling, Mount - Each time one of them had the ball they wanted to take on the entire defence and score a solo effort. No zipping a pass, no great through balls.
We have no chance of winning the tournament, yes we were poor but the post saved them once and it was a penalty, deserved or not it should have been three points. I wouldn’t be surprised if Croatia and the Czechs go through
Agree he was crap but so were everyone else so he had many options to sub players. Sterling should of been off at HT Yet Southgate probably thinks he was our best player. We passed the ball around at the back as if the game was a training game at times nobody was breaking their back to run onto anything. Look im not taking anything away from Scotland they deserved something out of that game. but, no offence if we are "one" of the fav's to win the Euro's. we should be putting to bed teams like Scotland with ease. If Southgate comes out and says we tried our best. rip your betting slips up now because that's not even Group qualification form. Its the bloody Euro's We were so laid back, so disinterested, we didn't want to tackle, We didn't want to break our backs for the England badge. there was just nothing there to say we wanted 3 points out there tonight. France,Germany,Portugal will be pissing themselves after watching that and will be fighting over who wants to play us in the next round..
ITV said it wasn’t checked, either way it was a far easier penalty to give than the one VAR awarded in the earlier game.. Edit… https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...scotland-euro-2020-live-score-updates-wembley says VAR wasn’t interested so maybe it was checked
Sorry bud. My bad. You're right. I got confused. If we finish runner up we play Sweden/Spain. Then we play France/Portugal in the quarters. If we win the group we get France/Portugal next round followed by Spain/Sweden. My bad. Either way we are ****ed if we play like that.
I didn't watch the game, so can't comment upon the incident, just commenting that the radio said VAR had checked it, and whoever the ex pro that they had commenting from an English point of view, didnt think it was a foul either. Obviously the ex Scottish pro agreed with that analysis
Even the drug baron was having a dig at me Olof Oooh it's not coming home. Although don't you have to have won that trophy in the past before you can claim it's coming home.
