I know they say all publicity is good publicity but I’m not sure it actually applies to this one <laugh>

As you can see from my previous post I do not have a good record when buying into new ideas , well this tops the hit parade , if I thought it would mean something to the board I would be outside the ground protesting but I imagine they are all on some topical island somewhere decked out in teflon swimming trunks and tshirts with the logo "NO ****S GIVEN,LOL"
**** you Levy and the board for making my club the laughing stock of football

I’m concerned that all recent links in terms of potential managers and players all stem from Italy.

we’re now in talks with manager number 3?!! (I’ve lost count) from Serie A.

I sincerely hope our DOF has the capability to look elsewhere too, and his knowledge across the rest of Europe (or the world) isn’t limited.

There was talk on social media a week or so ago that the club was wary of the backlash of the initial Fonseca news as initially it wasn’t too positive, since then a lot on social media came round to him after doing research and realising he actually ticked a lot of boxes.

So if the club were supposedly wary back then, how in the **** have they now thought Gattuso would be an improvement?

Can only hope Levy/ Paratici have some huge plan in place regarding transfers because if Gattuso is indeed hired and they think he’s gonna be someone that’ll magically whizz some of our dross into diamonds, then they’re going to be sorely mistaken and it’ll likely be the very final straw for many of the “pro Levy/ ENIC” fanbase, they’re on a knife edge as it is amongst most, I think this’ll push it if it goes tits up - which I believe it will.

Just seen the news. ****ing hell! This has to be the stupidest thing we've done yet, it's been one farce after the other with our new manager search. The only solace I'm taking is that Gattuso will tell us to **** off with in the next few days, just as every other manager we've spoken to has.

Give it Mason, can't be any worse that this circus.

that’s what surprises me. How, knowing the current toxicity, can they possibly think this will go down well with the fans?! I just can’t get my head round it.

if the ESL debacle and current managerial fiasco aren’t enough to change opinions of some of the fan base, nothing will mate! <laugh>

Surely Ryan of all people knows what the DNA is? <laugh>

And on the subject of young English coaches, how has there not been more of a push for Potter?
whilst he wouldn’t have been my first choice, he’s certainly a much better option than half of those we’ve been in talks with.
Knowing what our DNA is is anyone guess. But if I was a betting man, I’d say Potter might stand a chance of working it out.

I’ve often tried giving benefit of the doubt to Levy, even of late when he’s just absolutely ballsed up but I’m just failing to see what he’s doing for this club any longer.

He’s had a lot of credit remaining to pay off some of his mistakes, that credit has now run out in my opinion, we can’t keep saying **** like “oh but he done this…” etc. He took over Spurs when we were a midtable shambles and he’s almost very nearly taking us back there the way things are going, all whilst becoming an utter laughing stock in Europe.

Must admit I’m gutted I renewed my ST now. I’m paying more money than all other fanbases in Europe to watch an absolute circus. Hate the fact I’m feeling like it as well. First time in 16 or so years I’ve felt like ****ing it all off. Probably gonna try and sell my tickets on the exchange most weeks, doubt I’ll have any takers though.

Agree. Always found transfer windows particularly frustrating, but do appreciate the off the field developments over the years.

The last 18 months to 2 years in particular have seen some really poor decisions, IMO. Even more so in the last couple of months.

I’ve felt disconnected for some time, but I’m exhausted from it all now to be honest.

If Parrotici has genuinely recommended Gattuso, then he can pack his bags and disappear back to Italy. This rumour can not be true, surely, and apparently Gattuso`s agent is Jorge Mendes, which is another reason (amongst many) why he would be a farcical appointment, we would end up with a load of Mendes` clients coming in, regardless of whether they are good footballers or not (Gedson etc).

This new manager saga is turning into a similar farce to virtually every player we sign, with long drawn out negotiations, goal posts moved at the last minute and stumbling blocks around every corner. We all know who the one common denominator in our soul destroying and repeatedly laughable approach to business is.

I have been saying this for months, so sorry for repeating myself.
To not have sacked JM in February was stupid. To sack him in April, 6 days before a cup final was bizarre. To sack him with no concrete plan was incompetent.
To have failed to get any one in in EIGHT AND A HALF WEEKS is inept.

We are not going to sign or sell players until a new manager is appointed.

To do so means we are getting a manager who has no say over who he wants in the squad. Only a moron or money grabber will take a job on those terms.

Who is going to look at our first 6 games (City, Chelsea ...lost 4 our last 5 league meetings and Arsenal...not won away to in the league since 2010) and think they will still have a job with our current squad?

So Levy has appointed a DoF and has left the search for a new manager to him. This is exactly what everyone was asking for. And now on the basis of rumours everyone has decided that the new guy is an idiot. Chill a bit and try to work out why Paratici did something after it is announced rather than before. None of us is qualified to do any senior job in football management so try to learn from people who are rather than getting all stressed?

I never asked for a DoF...I asked for a plan to replace to most moronic manager choice since bloke in a coat, 23 yrs ago.

And don't tell me to chill...if I chill there is no point to my miserable existence...
    I moan therefore I am

He and ENIC have long reached their ceiling. So many of us have been saying it for a while now. There has been no indication since we left WHL that they have a clue what they're doing anymore on the pitch.

Levy was in his element when we were the outsider's bet. The underdog. The team that bought low to sell high. That valued youth.

Now he wants to dine at the top table, he's like Di Caprio staring at the array of forks on the Titanic. Hasn't a foggiest clue what to do or how to do it.

Would you be saying the same thing had Paratici just ditched Fonseca to approach Sam Allardyce or Alan Pardew?

Just because we called for a DOF, doesn't mean we are obliged to accept his judgement with blind faith.

If we appoint Gattuso I will be more critical than most. But I'm not wasting my time on rumours.

We don’t even know if our DOF is genuinely calling the shots. Bearing in mind how new he is to the role, and Daniel’s track record of “control”, I’d also say it’s pretty unlikely that he’d simply pass the reigns to a guy that’s been in the job for 4 days.
