Fonseca was a relatively unknown but interesting coach. I know I’ve been a chief proponent of not writing managers off but Gattuso would not fill me with any interest or confidence whatsoever.

What a complete ****show from the club. Paratici not off the the best of starts.

 

What "huge fiscal problems" could there possibly be in hiring a nobody manager with a nothing CV who doesn't have a contract to pay off?!

Is Fonseca honestly demanding more money than Conte was?!

Now emerging that Paratici is the driving force behind the change from pursuing Fonseca to Gattuso

 

I think it’s to do with some of the tax laws in Italy that don’t apply here but I fail to see the issue when we’ve had players from Italy before and just hired a man from Juve. ****show.

Gatuso seem's like an absolute head case, he lasted 20 odd days because the Fiorentina board wouldn't sanction the transfers he wanted, can you imagine how it will go with Levy...

 

When Levy spoke about DNA I thought he meant about attacking and entertaining football, not bottling everything we do.

 

While I have severe reservations about Gattuso - and they are obvious ones at that - what bothers me more is how the 9th richest club in world football is run like a pub team.

Amateurish is not the word. It is embarrassing.

 

This is just embarrassing now. Levy is almost out of credit for the other good things he has brought us.

as others have said, it’s an utter embarrassment, and you have to ask why, and how it’s ended up like this?

How can a name like Gattuso be even in consideration?

Make it make sense. I need another Amazon documentary to understand what’s going on. - so many twists and turns it’d have to be over about 3 seasons.

At least with Fonseca you could point to his work at Shaktar and early work at Roma and see a manager with a good eye for developing a strong team spirit and project ethos.

Gattuso? All you can point to is a combative, stubborn, massively over-inflated view of himself with very little to prop up his huge ego.

If bringing in a DOF was needed to open talks with C-list managers, we honestly might as well call it a day and just become a full time events and conference arena.

It will end up being the Spursiest of all Spursy things to finally hire a DoF that actually ends up making poorer choices than Levy on the footballing side.

What can Gattuso offer that the likes of Scott Parker, Potter, Mason or Fat Sam etc can`t. Gattuso`s managerial record is bad, lots of sackings and he never stays anywhere very long. It is a wind up, it has to be.
