All about Mohaafeth for me today, so pleased the forecast rain didn’t appear! Also going to dabble on Perfect Power in the Norfolk - he’s being backed already this morning, in from 20s to 12s in places.
An EW Lucky 31 for me today. 2.30 Go Bears Go 3.05 One Ruler 3.40 Dubai Fountain 5.00 Qaader 6.10 Persuasion Have a good day all, all the best with yours
3.40 Ascot- Divinely- 7/1 ew There’s a lot of horses in this field very closely matched and hard to split them eg Eshadaa and Gloria Mundi who were first and second Ina listed stakes race at Newbury LTO who also had Twisted reality back in 4th and can’t see her turning the form around with the top two. Who in turn hard to see them beating Noon star, Dubai Fountain could bounce back at a big price she show d she trained on having had some smart form at 2 when winning the Cheshire oaks well and obv didnt handle the track at Epsom but has work to do even on that Cheshire oaks run. Noon Stars form is obv the stand out behind the impressive oaks winner Snowfall at York, however I think Snowfall looked alot better at Epsom, Like a usual O’Brien filly Divinely has been well raced, but has shown glimpses of some class. A group 3 winner at 2 over a mile and more recently a very good performance when third and I think she was extremely unlucky not to get second that day too, she got hampered for the first furlong on the home straight and got pushed out extremely wide, and I reckon she would have cut the 16l gap to about half that, which shows you how far ahead of the rest she would have been. For me that is the best form in this field by some way. And at 7/1 I reckon she is overpriced and very hard to see her out the top 3 and have a very good chance of winning
My competition arrow has landed on Marshall Plan (5.35). He runs off an opening mark of 90 which I think is fair - he couldn't give subsequent winner Mandoob 7lbs last time but that was a muddling race with the Godolphin pair racing each other too far from the finish and emptying out, allowing Mandoob to get up. Just about the whole field is unexposed though, so anything could happen and probably will
Royal Ascot. I've got to show some support for Boardman in the 6.10. The horse has been superb in the last 3, since I first put it up for a heavy going victory at Haydock, and I think the most recent win at Chester shows there may be more to come. Win bet. I'm also drawn to Royal Pleasure in the 5.00 for a bit of an each way go. I wonder if Navello can prove a bit of value in the opener, now back on a sound surface for an in-form stable? Let's see. ( Ascot competition horse, maybe? ) Have a great day all and best of luck if you play. Cheers.
Morning 5.35 Royal Ascot-Kondo Isami Each Way @ 14-1 [Bet Victor] 5 places Trainer knows how to win this race
Good morning horsey peeps. Today's Ascot Awfuls ------- !! Asc 230 Project Dante - tending to agree with Pricewise 305 One Ruler - Mohaafeth should romp this, but I saw the rain pissing down on the Opening Show and can't imagine anything but good or good to soft by start time. So as One Ruler is proven on easier surface, he gets my vote. 340 Eshaada - but I'm afeared of Dubai Fountain, my pick in the Derby, and bound to spoil my fun today! 415 Subjectivist / Emperor Of The Sun ew - Will be thrilled if Strad does it again, but have to take him on 500 Raadobarg - back until loses! 535 Tashkan ew / Nagano ew Another wide open affair, these two should be thereabouts although draw may play its part 610 Persuasion - Bet of the day! Good luck all PS: Had a right result yesterday - didn't have a single bet! (aprt from a losing virtual one in the comp!)
Mine for today: 2:30 - Instinctive Move 8/1 3:40 - Dubai Fountain 10/1 5:00 - Royal Pleasure 18/1 6:10 - Danyah 10/1 (by far my best bet of the day)
Not too late for Cadamosto to be withdrawn is it? Aidan's colt made a good debut but has missed several engagements since. The going was too soft a few times but he was off his feed on more than one occasion as well, something I cannot recall with many horses. Cadamosto is favourite for the 5F Group 2 race and although the two month gap since his last race is not what they had hoped for, Berkshire Shadow overcame the same period of absence before landing the Coventry. Cadamosto has had those periods of being off his feed though and his first race doesn't look great looking back now. The trainer has won the race 3 times in the last 20 years, so it is not his most dominant race. Go Bears Go made all for a nice debut win. That was on soft ground though and the runner up was beaten as a 4/11 Favourite next time out. That colt was gelded a couple of weeks later, so has clearly had issues. Go Bears Go could easily find improvement but the 3rd home in his last race was beaten Fav next time and was 18th behind Chipotle yesterday. Given that Loughnane's son of Kodiac is second fav and threatening to go fav here, I don't think he's shouting value. Wesley Ward has two here and the Timeform preview on ATR remains loyal to the trainer in tipping up a 1-2 for the handler in the order Nakatomi and Lucci. His two runners in the Windsor Castle were nothing special and today's pair are red and drifting on Oddschecker, Project Dante and Korker were close on debut at York, with the former just holding on by a head that day. Korker went one better next time but was perhaps not as impressive as expected, prevailing by half a length as 4/7 Fav. You would think that Korker might be more suited by Ascot than York as he attempts to gain revenge and he is double the odds of the Smart horse today. I decided to give one more chance to a Clive Cox inmate. Get Ahead landed each-way money for me yesterday in the Queen Mary at 16/1 and it transpired that the Vet reported she was lame on her right hind leg, so that was a decent effort. Instinctive Move represents the yard today and the son of Showcasing made a good debut at Bath when winning well in the end. Rousted 3F out he was back on the bridle quickly and he was then bustled up in the closing stages before reeling in the leader and drawing away to win by more than two lengths. Instinctive Move looks sure to improve and looks a sprinter in the making. I hope to see him finishing strongly today. 2.30 Ascot Instinctive Move 15/2
Mohaafeth and Stradivarius double at 4.5/1... Come on! I reckon Matchless could be a bit overpriced at 80/1 so a little e/w poke on him too...
I guess Crowley will get a couple of days for that but no doubt the best horse won. Well done Princess
