Genuine question and not being funny here, but do the other home nations get behind England when we play?
There’d be absolutely no chance of him coming here, even before this tournament. He cost them over 10 million quid
Generally speaking, no. Most of them spend their time cheering the opposition and worrying that we might win something
I wasn't being derogatory with my question, just going back years we've always been expected to get behind everyone else when they get to a tournament seemingly. Even the broadcasters get in on it. Take our first game on Sunday, they spent most of the time banging on about how we haven't ever won an opening game at a Euros.
I agree mate. I've got a few Scots and Irish friends who will back us, but the majority spend their time gloating if we fail. In fact at times it feels like England failing is more important to them than them winning. Personally I find the Welsh the worst, they love to give it out but can't take it back, though a load will just say its "banter". Ive always supported the home countries, and I include the Republic of Ireland in that, but I think the banter crossed the line a few years ago with some, so I back them less than I used to.
Yes I do, I want Scotland,Wales and N.I. to win their games when not playing us and cheer when they score, but if they get beat I laugh my cock off.
I am really enjoying the tournament but some of the defending is rank. Germany last night, Swiss just then. I wonder what they actually do in training sometimes.
The refereeing in the tournament has been excellent so far, really impressed with the 'get up' and 'play on' calls they are making. Vast majority are bang on and I hope it makes the soft twats get their **** together
