……the speculated £100 million for Jack Grealish is an awful lot of money but he is a stand out player. He does attract a lot of fouls as did Eden Hazard. Like Eden Hazard, Jack Grealish can be unstoppable on his day. He’s probably the best and most promising non Chelsea midfielder in the Premiership in my opinion.

He could line up with Haarland, Varane, Sancho, and all the others we are allegedly getting.
Very nice player Grealish, but not 100 mill for me.

There’s no space for him in the team. He’s be competing with Mount, Kante, kovacic and Jorginho. He’s need to be on a much higher level to warrant a starting spot.

Why would Grealish be competing with all your defensive midfielders?

Nice attempt at trolling there. Nothing defensive about Mount, kovacic or Jorginho. Kante you have a case with.

other than that, he’s be competing with Werner, Havertz, pulisic, ziyech and CHO. No space for him in the team. It’s not like he’s walk in either so unless he really wants to fight for his spot there’s no point.

He’s a big fish in a small pond at villa.

Sensitive fool. It was a fair comment.

Grealish is better than Ziyech and Pulisic. Werner has been abysmal for Chelsea. There's only Havertz who he'd currently be behind out of them lot.

Kovacic and Jorginho sit back in centre midfield for Chelsea. Grealish would not be competing against them.

Ziyech, Pulisic, Havertz and Mount is his competition. He's better than two of them. I don't think there's much between him and Mount.

You’ve clearly not seen anything of Chelsea’s midfield.

Zyech has been hot and cold but is unbelievable when he’s on it. If Pulisic could stay fit he’d easily command a regular spot. Is criminally underrated.

Werner, for all his abysmal shooting is a nightmare for defenders and if you’d seen the CL final would see that he tore City’s defence a new one. They were terrified of everything but his finishing.

Grealish is good. I’m not saying he isn’t. He’s just not £100m nor walking into Chelsea’s starting lineup.

Pretty much agree with this, Werner is possibly our best front runner in terms of wrecking defences, Ziyech has not set the place on fire, but has shown plenty of evidence he can. Not so sure about Pulisic, he's very inconsistent and rarely gets past 1 on 1 defence. Very good when he's on it though.
Grealish is a different player, clever, skilful and can score. I think he might rattle Jorginho fro that spot, but not at 100 mill ( if true)

Grealish hasn't even played in CL. How can you even compare him to Mount?

I've seen it all now <laugh>

You do realise that they play in the same league against the same competition, don't you?

Grealish really hasn’t been tested at the highest level. Villa are never going to be able to offer him the platform he really needs to excel.

You can see it in the games he has had for England, he has done well but not the shining light he is when playing for Villa (big fish little sea) against the lesser teams and apart from the 7-2 against Liverpool I haven't seen him do it against a top half side. I just don't think he would be a good fit for us and of course he is the biggest cheat in Europe. Sorry Jack but you dive better than Tom Daley.

Do you remember when Drogba first played for us? Drogba would appear to grimace in agony and roll around on the ground at the slightest challenge. :emoticon-0140-rofl: Grealish does take some hefty knocks because the opposition are trying to stop him as does Pulisic who seems to be out injured a lot partly due to this. In my opinion, if the price for Grealish came down to around £60 million he’d be worth signing.

Indeed, Grealish has great potential at Chelsea in my opinion, I think £60 million would be a fair price for him.

Still not convinced with Jack, like I said before when he steps up a level he doesn't look so good. On the Drogba note BB, JT had a word and cured him of his falling over habit, who will tell Jack to cut it out. Oh and Gilmour will replace Kante or Jorginho and not compete with Mount they are two players that need to be together on the pitch and no way compete for the same spot.
