I missed the game but you seem to have got your prediction pretty close from the result and what l have read post match. Is this a fair reflection?
Nah not really. We started really well and they couldn't handle us, after a while though Modric started getting on the ball and they enjoyed more possession. Never looked overly dangerous though.
I hope the person is ok and is just the shock of seeing England win. But seriously, how can that happen in a safe stadium?
I take your point. If that is the case, then stadia are going to have to be more vigilant in the amount of alcohol that is consumed. Mind you, any person who appreciates the taste of beer would not be buying expensive rubbish beer at any fooball stadium. Did anyone here buy a beer at Wembley when Southampton last played there, and if so how much was it?
Fair one. I thought it was baffling when it was announced too but you can't really say it didn't pay off. Trippier was excellent and Croatia didn't get a sniff which is surprising given our defence. Reckon we'll see Shaw or Chillwell against Scotland where we'll dominate the ball more against a team sitting back.
Most people that are pissed will be drinking long before getting to the stadium, so not much Wembley can do on that front. You can't make any place 100% safe, even if there was no alcohol involved, sometimes people trip and fall when walking up/down steps. 1 person getting injured in a stadium that holds millions of supporters each year doesn't mean it is in any way unsafe.
Looking at around £5 just for a crappy lager at St Marys. Last pint I had at Wembley was for the boxing a while back (they let you drink in the stands for boxing) And that set me back £6! If im at Wembley for football I'll rarely drink in the stadium, mainly because there are so many great pubs in London to choose from instead.
