are against chelsea, spurs and man city. we haven't a hope in hell of getting anything from them. someone please convince me otherwise!
I'll have to get back to you on that.......we may be relying on outbreaks of plague in our opponents' squads. Results will be tough to get, but still think that performances in these 3 games are critical for spirit for rest of season - more spineless collapses like Fulham and we are in trouble. The elements of hoofball that crept in today were not a good sign either.
It's not going to be easy, but then nothing is expected of us from these fixtures. Onwards and upwards, you Rrrrrrrssssssss
The two fixtures after those 3 are Stoke and Norwich away. They will not be easy either. We had a relatively easy set of fixtures to begin the season with, and we are where we are. We need to get something from the next 5 games.
I think if we get one point from those three games and don't concede more than 10 goals we'll have done well!...
We never expect to get anything from Chelsea, Spurs or City. In my opinion we are probably three points behind where we should be based on the games played and that won't have changed if we lose the next three.
Norwich managed narrow defeats to Chelsea and Utd. So I'm not resigned to heavy defeats against the top teams...but yes it wouldn't surprise me, especially on form of the last couple of games.
Spurs are not that good at WHL vs Newly promoted teams. Of last year's lot, only Newcastle were defeated, WBA and Blackpool both got score draws.
Dyer, DJ out for months, Gabbidon who knows, Boothroyd out of sorts and apparently out of favour, Barton looking distinctly average, Puncheon not good enough......our new boys not delivering yet. I think SWP is trying hard, Young and Traore look fine (except for the sending off), but we are relying too much on guys who we knew would struggle at this level to plug the gaps. We need to be in the mix in January to get the quality in we need. Thought a CB and an attacker would do, but now think we need a good utility back another holding midfielder and a creative mid as well. Let's hope Tony is happy to spend and we are working on this now...
Not looking good but i reckon we'll give the scum a good game. The atmosphere for that game is gonna be something else!
Did you see how clubs raised their game when they played top of the table QPR last season and it worked. Why cant we do that!
I tend to agree that we won't get anything from the forthcoming games - especially if we play like we did today; it was truly awful at times. However, I am hoping the time-honoured QPR inconsistency kicks in and I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with a result against one of them.....
