Without awaiting the outcome of players incoming I am confident of an auto promotion place, just having faith that the hierarchy will give whatever is needed.
Heart says automatic spot, head says playoffs. We have a monumental rebuilding job on our hands and even if we spent pots of money it will take a while for new players to settle.
Unfortunately it's an impossible question to answer without knowing what our team will look like or what the teams around us will do. Rotherham and Wycombe will come down strong whilst Sheff Wed is anyone's guess. I also expect the Cowleys to get it right at Pompey and Cook will have seen what he needs to from that Ipswich side and I think he'll turn them into promotion contenders. One thing I'd say on us is that we'd have to have an outstanding window to produce a side that makes up for the managers shortcomings (and I'm not talking about his height). The Plan A XI has to have enough matchwinners in it that the dug out is an afterthought
As has been said without knowing what are squad is then who knows. If we go with what we've got (which I hope to god we dont) then bottom three is achievable. However the optimist tells me were bound for top two.
I honestly wouldnt like to predict considering, by and large, we have no idea whose going to be playing for us.
Answering now all I am doing is sharing my desire for SAFC finishing as champions. I'd like to come back to this in a month or so when I see how the club has backed up their words by what players we have brought in.
