I remember my daughter changing from Sega Mega games to Nintendo games because she heard Damon Searle prefered it.
A fully fit at his best Joe Bennett isnt far off best left back in the Championship. These days 31 isnt that old. If his ACL is ok great signing for someone and maybe not a good decision to release him. It wouldnt suprise me to see him get a very good move. Junior him and Sol were top players for us.
They were supposedly discussing a contract with Bennett. With the tightening of belts its likely salary expectations didnt match.
As well as ins. We really need Glatzel , Whyte and Vassell out. Glatzel and Whyte will probably get loans again and their contracts run down.
Could even be a disagreement on contract length. City offered 12 months and he wanted 2/3 years? Some have criticised him from time to time but a very capable player who was thriving again under MM. Could do well elsewhere. Pity to see him go.
Hope he fully rehabilitates. Its a risk coming out of contract with such a serious injury. A bird in the hand......
Yeah probably. Id like to see Sang given a go there as well. The balance of our midfielders isnt right. All hardworking no real skill and pace. The market after Covid will mean we wouldnt get much for anyone. Though the funniest thread ive read recently was where a Jack muppet commented on our situation and then starting valuing their squad. It was utterly delusional . Hed sell Dhanda for 2m.. Think he had Fulton at 5m. You honestly couldnt make it up.
Along with £5M compensation for Cooper, who they all want rid of, and get Howe or Lampard in instead. I like how they slate the owners for selling players then say how much they want for who. With expired contracts and outgoing loanees they'll have a light squad to start with. Fair play to Cooper with what he's acheived. I think he's over acheived though many there think they'd have gone up automatically with a 'decent manager'. Their problem not ours. We need a couple of our mids out to make roome for a ball player or two. Either home grown, a free or a loan. Any news on the two signings Dalman alluded to?
Unless there are deals done in principle, only free agents available at the moment as the transfer window doesn't open until 9th June. Also, despite our accounts having now been filed, I haven't seen anying official about our EFL transfer embargo being lifted yet. Maybe that's something to do with the lack of confirmation about Dalman's "two new players" from the club or in the media.
Fair point on the former. You'd expect deals to be agreed to be announced on or soon after 9th. Maybe Dalman getting ahead of himself. On the latter, we've filed our accounts with HMRC. Did I read they also need to be filed with EFL? Are EFL sitting on it? No rush, wont make any difference until 9th.
Yes, that is the rule. I doubt the EFL would receive them before they were submitted to Companies House (21st May) but they're available on public display now so should have had them previous to that.
