Good Morning. It's Wednesday 2nd June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Perraud deal on brink of collapse Leeds pursuit of Stade Brest left back Romain Perraud is on the brink of collapse after it was revealed that both clubs have been unable to agree a fee for the former French U20 International. The Pirates believe their star player is worth between 15-18m, whilst Leeds Director of football refutes this as Perraud has only played in the French top tier for two seasons, and is yet to senior call up! It is believe Leeds are prepared to pay 10-12m for the 23yo. please log in to view this image €40m price tag slapped on Cunha Leeds have been told they will have to shell out 40 million euros if they want to land Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha this summer. Given the state of play with negotiations over Perraud, surely this spells the end of their interest in him. Hertha Berlin's newly-appointed sporting director has taken the opportunity to slap the astronomical figure on his prized asset to scare away competition. They signed the 22yo, 18 months ago from Leipzig for 16m. This term, Cunha has registered 7 goals and four assists in 27 appearances. Cunha wants to represent Brazil at the Olympics in the summer. If that happens, he will miss out on some essential pre-season training. However, it would not rule a move out. Monaco, Atalanta and Napoli are also closely monitoring the situation. please log in to view this image Liverpool in hunt for Raphinha Liverpool have tested Leeds resolve by making an initial 32m offer for Raphinha. Fortunately, this is not the Leeds of old, where they would fold, and part with their star players a la Kewell for next to nothing. The news was greeted with contempt by Leeds fans up and down the Country on social media. Liverpool, if you're looking for a bargain, you're not going to get one from Elland Road! please log in to view this image Orta turns attention to Spain for a left back Victor Orta has turned his attention to North East Spain in his pursuit of a left back. Javi Galan currently applies his trade with Huesca, who recently suffered relegation from La Liga. The 26yo is well known for his dribbling skills as well as well as being versatile down the left flank. Although his stats cannot match that of Perraud, Galan's release clause following relegation is just 3.5m. He's a very physical player that won't get bullied by forwards. please log in to view this image
We will not pay over the odds for any player and Victor Orta is on record recently as saying that Leeds will not do what former owner Ridsdale did which was over pay for players and go overboard on wages, which kills the club.lots of skint clubs out there trying it on but we will probably sign players nobody even thought of or heard of before, just like last Summer. we have 36 names on the transfer thread and although I would love to see some of them at Leeds, I bet none of them will be coming
Don't get bullied by other teams asking too much for players. Not smart business to start doing that so if that's the case I'm sure that Orta will move on and rightly so. If we get stung for a LB we're better off sticking with Alioski who we know can do a job there rather than an unknown. Raphinha for 32 million is a joke, the only way we'd get rid if his head was turned and it was an offer we couldn't refuse. Something like 80m. Raphinha buys into what we're doing here so I can't see him going. Another season and us in Europe then they'll be no need for him to go. Besides do Liverpool really need another attacker with Salah, Firmino, Mane and Jota? I think it's a non story tbh.
It's silly season. perfect for the transfer boards to add clicks to their sites. Kevin Phillips also seems to know Leeds better than Leeds. he knows who we should sign and who we should sell. We aren't going to stop speculation but believe nothing till the club announce it because June and July will just do your head in with names. We are supposedly going to sign 25 left backs 15 midfielders and 10 wingers.happy days eh what a team we going to have.
If Alioski stays and Roberts signs a new improved contract then i shall take that as a sign of upcoming young signings not of the quality i wanted.
I'm with Wakey. I reckon Roberts will be good, but not for a few seasons. Alioski can play anywhere, he will always give 100 percent and he does not expect to play week in, week out!
Those names mentioned.... I don’t care if we don’t get any. I don’t want us to be paying silly money for a LB who hasn’t featured or a striker with 7 goals and I definitely don’t want a defender involved with a team that got relegated. I’d imagine we’ve put feelers out on 20+ players but then comes the stage of narrowing that down.
Bruno Lage will be revealed as the next Wolves manager in the next hours. So yet another Portuguese manager
