If you ever meet him, just look at how immaculate his appearance is...nothing like the shots on the TV. The last person I met like him was Patrick Moore, (Sky at night)..I still cant get over how white his hair was or how clean and smooth his skin was too. (I'm nee ben**r) He was beyond being immaculate in his turn out in real life but looks absolute ****e on TV

We shouldn't underestimate the shock of us actually leaving. If we can go, so can others.

Spot on. The worst enclaves are in Southern Spain. Fish and chip shops everywhere and loads of bars selling Guiness with TVs showing Coronation Street <laugh>

I voted to leave, and was more than happily surprised when my son phoned at 7.00 in the morning to say we had voted the way I'd hoped for but not expected.
Why did I vote that way ? I am a believer that small is better in modern industry, and the eu is anything but small. Its a huge bureaucracy which makes a pass at democracy. The member nations have elected members who vote on actions and regulations, but what seems obvious to me is that the smaller nations can too easily be bribed by the promise of funds and loans which are in the power of the eurocrats to dispense.
Then I see the petty bigotry of the HQ being moved every month with significant cost and, worse, an administrative hiatus, all to please France.
Everything that I thought wrong about the eurocracy has been proven correct by their self serving arrogant and indeed aggressive reactions to our democratic choice, and if we need further proof of their incompetence I refer you to their vaccine procurement farce.

Definitely...everything that could be thrown at the UK was done so by Msr Barnier including freedom of movement with in the EU.

Taken from M. Barnier's EU press release 14th January 2020..

'Concrete consequences' will follow for EU and UK citizens as Britain does away with freedom of movement, the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has warned.

Speaking at a European Parliament debate on the issue in Strasbourg on Tuesday, Barnier stressed “we will continue to defend the interest of our citizens” as Brexit moves into the next phase of settling the terms of future relations between the EU and Britain.

Ending freedom of movement will have consequences for EU or British nationals providing services in the other territory, as well as limiting tourism stays and healthcare insurance, and the recognition of professional qualifications.

And now the two face tawt is saying :

Source The Guardian 16th May 2021

Michel Barnier seems to have ruffled as many feathers in France with his latest comments on immigration as he did in Britain during his stint as EU Brexit negotiator. Positioning himself to run as the rightwing candidate in next year’s presidential elections, Barnier told a TV interviewer that he wanted to suspend immigration to France from outside the EU, including family reunions, for three to five years.

Immigration, he suggested, was linked to terrorism and was a threat to the stability of French society. He also called for talks with other members of the Schengen group (the 26 European countries that have abolished all passport controls at their mutual borders) to strengthen the EU’s external borders.

Barnier’s remarks caused outrage. But, shocking though they were, the comments are an extreme version of actual EU policy. Politicians of all hues have accepted that freedom of movement inside Europe requires the tightening of restrictions against non-Europeans.

'I won't buy a SINGLE item!' EU Brexit grandstanding BACKFIRES as Britons begin boycott
THE Brexit grandstanding from the EU has spectacularly backfired on Brussels with British citizens already beginning a boycott of goods coming from the bloc.
There’s more trade now being done with the rest of the world and already the EU is down about 20%
