Yes Diego it does, its similar to how Tevez was seen by man u fans when he made the move to Manchester from Trafford, better still similar in size to the outrage when Mo Johnston usurped his boyhood club Celtic and joined Rangers.:emoticon-0100-smile

    Bullshit i say.
He didn't leave you to play for a rival and now he is a manager at another club learning his trade. Totally different thing in my opinion.
If Mark Hughes had turned into a great manager at City i would have no problem with him coming home to us (he was **** so never happened).
I would definitely have no problem taking Klopp when he leaves you (wouldn't want any other of your ex's though <laugh>)

Regardless of supporters romanticism very few managers have genuine affinity to the clubs they manage, it's just a job. Ex players are different when given the chance to manage a club they played for a long time but you can't hold the clubs they learnt their trade at when they weren't good/proven enough for you. against them.

Yeh its bullshit but its not bullshit if ya know what I mean. Which you do.

Personally I wouldn't care if Gerrard took the peasant job. I'd have to stop wanting him to do well but in no way would it ruin any connection he has with LFC for me at least.

Its all talk sport bollocks anyway mate a wum put out there wind up a few scousers from both sides.

Just seen this . Stone cold Don Carlo don't give a ****<laugh>

I could see Rafa doing it. He has a connection to the area and can be motivated by money; see also Chelsea and China.

I just can't see Gerrard there tbh. But I didn't think he'd go to Rangers either.

As if getting Covid was bad enough; talk about kicking a man when he's down.

Hope he's alright actually. He seems to have gone a bit quiet on here.

Hes a foolish boy that gerrard.

Imagine giving up the chance to take Everton to 9th to manage in a semi pro league where the risk of Celtic powering back and him getting the sack is reasonably high.

    It would not.

However gerrard has struggled through until Celtic fell apart so his star is rising. He cannot afford a "slip"

Same as fat frank. Take a big job too soon and you could spend 10 years slobbing to get another opportunity.

Rodgers has done alright for himself after jobbing in a one team league but did nothing in europe but he is still at a club where failing twice in a row in the leavue doesn't matter. The fa cup win is historic. If he took a spurs job for example hed be sacked in 2 years max.

    Better to stay at leicester.

    Better to stay at rangers.

Also why would gerrard leave a club in the CL for one fighting for top half finish?

cos they are not in the CL?

The issue for me with rangers is what degree of belief can you have in rangers beating celtic again the next season. You have to bail before the wheels come off.

At this point celtic are in the **** with no manager and a poor enough squad compared to rangers so why would gerrard move?

The trick in sweatyland is to jump ship before the gloss comes off. The reality however is rangers did "alright" as they got to the europa QF but they failed to win a cup yeah? If gerrard can guide rangers to the same point again in europa but then win a league and cup double then he needs to start thinking about his exist strategy as he can't do more.

Yea they are in the CL...

They did alright? They won the league for first time in 10 years, went unbeaten whole season and set new records for goals conceded. Think that is a bit better than alright.

LOL what a funny end to the season. Majority of rivals fans gutted that we qualified for CL, Everton fans crying because they still finished 10th and lost a top class manager after what they thought would be a great season as they had won the league in October, beaten LFC and injured VVD. Not to mention United and City bottling finals.

    @Diego

    "Childish<whistle>"

Nah, Childish is Fergie not letting Heinze join Liverpool because Fergie hated LFC, as for Klopp, Fergie tried to lure him to OT but the German has since stated he wanted to join a football club not a circus.
He also said hes very happy he chose to accept the Liverpool job.<whistle>
