I know international football isn't everybody's cup of tea on here, but a few City players in the squad.

Moore was expected, but the bolter is Colwill.

Furure city player captaining the squad.<laugh>

    Good post Remote.

    Looking forward to the games.

BT suggested we go to the friendly v Albania next Saturday. I politely declined, I'm not a fan of international friendlies, not knowing any of their players and this game will see most of the hand car washes in South Wales closed for the day. <whistle>

    Looking forward to the tournament.
Not being pessimistic but I’m struggling to see Wales getting past the first round; Switzerland Turkey and Italy in Rome <yikes>

It's most certainly my cup of tea remote! Real representative football not purchased success.
Looking forward to getting behind my country unresevedly.
Fantastic opportunity for young Colwill which will do him and the Bluebirds some good. Even if he doesn't get on to play, he'll still benefit.
    C'mon Wales.

Looking forward to it with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

Wales recent "success" has of course raised the expectation bar slightly from the days of being chuffed with a 0-0 away draw to the likes of Albania.

My main concern though is the split in our household that's as wide as the Severn when it comes to International games.....
Having to sit and watch Ingerlund whilst trying hard not to say anything derogatory about them isn't my favourite past time.
In fairness I actually don't mind Gareth Southgate though....

While I lived in Brizzle for 10 years I took the precaution of taking a Welsh girl with me to avoid such complications.<whistle>
Luckily she followed me to Cheshire as well.<laugh>

Agree on the expectations bit. Easier to be disappointed now.
Not sure we have as many players in their prime as last time round but successive managers have found ways of building teams out of the materials available.

Just to add a bit of controversy, I'm looking forward to the Lions tour as well.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Was going to add a like until I saw your last sentence.

Is liking footie and egg chasing the equivalent of being sporting trans gender? Asking for Masky?

When discussing my behaviours with management coaches Ive always used the word "antagonistic" to describe myself, hence the last sentence.

Tell masky I'm sisgender (new word I learnt last week, though why you need a new word to describe 'normal' I dont know).

I like lots of sports and will watch all sorts though draw the line at rhythmic gymnastics and synchronised swimming.

Played a lot of rugby and watched a lot of rugby. I enjoy it.

I suppose the sexual analogy that would be more apt is 'batting for both sides' or maybe 'swinging both ways'.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Just pulling your strings Remote. No not a euphemism.

Although "swinging both ways" is more applicable to the chariot riding England supporters.

No I'm not a fan of someone prancing around and bouncing a ball to no end result or trailing a bit of coloured ribbon or drowning by numbers either although some of the lady swimmers have fantastic figures - best seen out of the water.

    Yeah, I know blue.

The problem with on line banter is the lack of inflection. Emojis are ok, but dont convey the feeling.

One of the strengths I have is that largely I dont give a $h!t what people think of me. I do what I enjoy irrespective. Their problem not mine.

Agree on the 'artistic content' of non-submeged female swimmers.

Warm up game spoiled by the ref. Dubious penalty turns into a sending off and the first French goal with an odour of offside.
It was a tough ask before those set backs.
Looked ok for the first 20 mins and had the better chances.

update: colwill on for the last 8 minutes.

Watched on S4C which was interesting!
Another crazy handball decision in which the player could do nothing. Even allowing for that, a sending off for it is ridiculous. And even allowing for that, seending off in a friendly!?? Who on earth benefitted from that? If that's the standard of refereeing for the Euro's there's going to be quite a bit of anger flpating about.
I thought Wales did really well and as you say, had their chances. In fact up until the sending off, we looked really potent going forward. Going down to 10 men killed it.
Looking forward to seeing Ramsey and Bale together again.
    Well done Wales.

The red card was a nonsense decision considering it was a Friendly. It certainly scuppered the Welsh match plan and probably the French one.

A warm up game for a tournament and both sided had their warm up spoiled. Neither team will have learned much.

I accept that williams had his arms raised in 'an unnatural position' so probably a panalty though mitigation would be that the ball travelled a foot.
If the ref wanted to make a point tgen give him a yellow, but a red......

    Hey ho.
Some positived to come out of it.
We looked dangerous down thr left.
Everyone looked comfortable on the ball.
We have a couple game plans, with moore we can go direct, without him we can play the wider channels.

Had S4C on together with radio wales for english commentary.

    Great in theory.

The issues was that the audio was about 60 seconds ahead of the video.:steam:

I think Wales can take a lot from the game last night despite the ref ruining it as a contest.

Can absolutely understand the penalty as the ball was goal bound but to send him off in a friendly seems ludicrous.

Still, apart from perhaps reacting slightly quicker for the goals you can't really criticise the team for their efforts.

1st goal was unfortunate because Ward has it covered until the deflection.
    2nd is just fantastic play.
3rd gets the lucky bounce off the post.

Working on the defensive shape etc. will have benefited us loads if we face a similar task in the competition.

Appalling refereeing adversely affecting a Welsh team for the second time in 4 days.

I wonder if there dopes are held accountable for such glaring errors? It is always public when managers or players get suspended, fined etc. It's about time the same information was publicised about officials. Then at least we and players etc, could take some comfort from the powers that be acknowledging their appointed officials make glaring mistakes too.

    Yours, disgruntled, from Bridgend.

P.S. The ref for the Championship play off got most things right. <whistle>
