For the second year running, the championship play-offs produce the right result - an English team prevails - as it should be.
Oh well, the better team won. That performance was typical of our end of season form. Just a shame their manager is such a smug arsehole.
Joking aside, I can’t stand the Brentford coach and although it would have been comical to see his face if you lot had won I didn’t really care about the result. Good luck next season.
Disappointed, but over the course of the whole season Brentford deserve to go up. They are quite well equipped to stay up, more so than us. We have a decent defence but lacked an out-and-out striker for the whole of the season. Need to put that right over the summer if we're to challenge next season.
Wonder what sort of team we'll have next season ? No parachute payments. No Ayew, that's for sure. Will any of the loan players come back ? Will Cooper be at Crystal Palace ? Will the owners step up to the plate ? I'm not bothered that we're not in the PL - what would we be competing for - 10th place if you have an absolutely amazing season ? No thanks. I'm just irritated that it's that arrogant bunch of twats who have made it.
Saw first 25mins looked like Bentford team turned up on the day so deserved to be the prem whipping boys instead of us pity Frank the **** stain is in charge of them, but after a few stuffings up there he'll prob get dropped like used bog roll sheet ! Rebuild time for us as usual looking for hidden talent and shrewd deals rather than the yanks chipping in ! Good season up to xmas then a late run in so not a bad season for cooper and us compared to many below ( cough cdiff ) Can't be that bad seeing as the bitter trolls we've stuffed good n proper over the years are out of the woodwork again. So on the bright side rebuild till we get it right again and eventually go back up prepared like we were last time with the best promoted championship team ever ! Roll on our double over the nosey neighbours
To be honest you were second best today. Too slow to move forward and Brentford always seemed to get to the ball first. Lacking in imagination was how I would describe your midfield, but it is not easy to find midfield players who can dictate a game. There is no doubt that as each year goes by it becomes more difficult to bounce back, but it can be done. Hope springs eternal for the average football fan. How many years have I gone to the first game of a new season and felt sure that the problems of the previous one will have gone away? Sadly for me there are too many clubs that are in a position to buy a new team. Maybe we don't really need the "big" clubs if the small/medium teams are to flourish, but that is a whole new discussion. I will continue to watch your games next season as in many ways you have a real club with real fans.
You were a little unlucky with the sending off as your player slipped and then collided with the Brentford player If only Ayew had connected properly with his header it would have made things interesting The Brentford Manager was a bit smug I wonder how many of their players they will keep hold off despite going up Good luck next year, third time lucky
