Neither of my two ran well today. Safe Voyage never looked comfortable and because he wasn't travelling well he got short of room but he was weakening anyway. After a no-show in the Lockinge, the question would be if old father time has caught up with him. He seemed as good as ever last year when almost landing the Foret but that's two poor shows this year. Kinross finally clicked and wasn't winning out of turn. The most obvious reason may be that Gelding him has worked some magic on him. He seemed more at home at today's 7F and that may be where he is at his best. Sir Min got away better today but was always working hard to try to keep in touch. He faded disappointingly, with the short priced favourite travelling as sweet as a nut before coming through to win as he liked. Checking back through Sir Min's trainer's form I note he is only on 3% and 76% of his horses are not running to form. That has deteriorated since yesterday. Most likely that the horse just went backwards, rather than forwards from his debut and life looks tricky now that the anticiated step up in trip has backfired. Well done to all those who found winners on a busy sporting day. On to Paris for tomorrow's Group 1 D'Ispahan.
