No, you quoted made up figures to fit your narrative. For the record, ASM made 31 league appearances this season so he missed 7 games and Miggy missed 4. Hardly the crippling injury crisis you're painting is it?
That was his aim more so than his expectation and as I've already highlighted we've finished close to 10th despite having a dreadful injury crisis and covid on our 1st team We're currently over the last quarter the 8th best performaning side in the league, so I say great let's be pleased and hope that continues
Wilson almiron and max all injured shortly after Jones came in at the same time. Dubs out long term Feddy disease Max disease The point was we suffered without our best players... Thats not my narrative its just a fact
I don't care whos managing that side of you take max Wilson almiron and schar out you're getting beat regularly.
No, it's a narrative you're pursuing and I've proven it to be incorrect. You're even mentioning Dubravka now. Are you forgetting he was left on the bench for 2 months after returning to fitness. Who is to blame for that decision? Wilson, ASM and Miggy made a combined 91 appearances out of a possible 114. So they were available for 79% of our games. You're just spouting bollocks man.
Nah you're just tap dancing around trying to find a statistical in accuracy to argue something seperate to the fundamental point I raised. Did we struggle without our best players? Yes or no Did we improve when they returned yes or no? I'm happy to debate but you're simply being ignorant to the point
Or we won our last game and we can hope that that continues and we win all 38 games next season if Bruce is manager. Full picture.
You're saying our best players missed huge chunks of the season. I'm proving to you that didn't happen. I don't blame you for thinking it happened, Bruce has been (incorrectly) telling every man and his dog it happened but it simply didn't. You named ASM, Wilson and Miggy, not me. All I've done is point out they were available for nearly 80% of our games. If anyone is being ignorant to the facts it's you and you can't accept we (mainly Bruce) struggled when our best players were available just as much as we struggled when they weren't available and the reason for that is Bruce's bad management. I've put up facts to support what I'm saying, you can't do the same because what you're saying is inaccurate.
Oh then the full picture is we finished 12th and given the injuries we had and the covid problem thats not bad at all. Which sides would should we have finished above? Leeds? Villa? West ham I honestly can't see how when the absolute ceiling appears to me 9th that 12th is so bad mate If it's that you seek then for a good quarter of a season weve been the 8th best, so why not just for once just forget about who's in the dugout
No I'm saying they were missing for the periods we struggled... Now can we get back on point because its really an irrelevant road you're doing down I'm not sitting here counting appearances in looking at the huge dips in the form graph and coming up with the reasons why. I know I'm not going to win any friends here because im dealing with an angry mob, but I will not back down and I am most definitely arguing reasonable points. You're entitled to want higher than 12th and you're entitled to be unhappy when the clubs losing, but I personally feel Bruce won the argument when we started paying well and winning games. I'll complain when he's doing bad and credit when he's doing well.. Thats it.
Folders mate the full picture is he's done fine and better than people thought when he got the job If he said he was aiming for 17th pre season the fans would've said he had no ambition. He said im aiming for top 10 and came 12th. His employer said finish 17th He can't win
You're argument is flawed, you're just not intelligent enough to realise it. I have pointed out our 3 best players were only unavailable for circa 20% of the season. You're saying we struggled when our best players weren't available so by definition you believe we only struggled for 20% of the season. If that is true, we'd have finished much higher than a final day 12th place. What I'm telling you and evidencing with actual statistics is that we struggled regardless of which players were available to the manager. And here is the kicker for you, the manager shoulders that responsibility. At this point there is no need for you to reply unless you can prove to me our 3 best players missed more games than they played...FYI - you can't. PS. Almiron would've made 35 appearances but he didn't get on the pitch in our 1-0 defeat to bottom of the league Sheffield United; the irony is, in Bruce's words he played "two false 10s" in that game and still didn't pick Miggy.
Enjoy your night chaps I can tell you've all decided on a ****, but I've made myself clear and so have you... I just hope we continue improving I'm done
Come on chaps. It’s really not worth it. We can argue about Bruce till the cows come home. He did ok. Average joe just like all his managerial career. We want to move on and improve which will only happen with a takeover. That’s the real issue here. SB is totally irrelevant.
