been saying this for a while now, 'tappy lappy' football, all about possession and probing for the perfect goal, not wasting a pass etc etc etc... take so long getting the ball up the pitch the opposition can get everyone in defence so scoring that perfect goal just gets harder and harder...todays game is set up perfectly for the quick counter attack style that did leicester a lot of good on the way to the title, getting a bit sick of watching these stale games now and prefer the lower leagues 'blood and thunder' approach.

It was beautiful to watch when Winger first brought that style in in the late 90s, now its just meh. How many times do sky hammer a "Massive weekend of football" then the game is a pure let down. Meanwhile the 3 o'clock Saturday Burnley V Wolves ends up with 5 goals in it.

Thought that many of the UTD players were God-awful yesterday. I'd be looking to sell De Gea ASAP, to have 11 penalties against you and not get near one!!! And then his penalty was s***e!!!! Thought Rashford had a shocker as well.... How did he miss that chance???

I remember, as a teenager in the early 70's, going to Forest from Mansfield on the service bus.

It took a fair chunk of my pocket money but it was worth it to see Man Utd with Best, Law, Stiles, Charlton, etc.

I was Sunderland supporter and didn't want to be a United fan, just loved their game.

They won but the result was immaterial to me, it was the style and swagger I'd gone to see.

It was exciting from start to finish, something last night obviously wasn't

Yes I remember seeing that forward line at Roker in the 60s.

The last time I saw Best he was playing with Rodney Marsh for Fulham.... iirc we won 0-2

Rushford won't start for England playing like that. Needs to get back to concentrating on football. Seems to be affecting him.

yet another young england player to be built up then dropped, there is a long history of that with our media...fair enough, give the young lads a bit of media time but building them up and regarding them as 'legends' when they have hardly had a 1st team place for more than a few months seems to knock them backwards, how many given similar build ups have fallen out of form dramatically over the years.
