    Where did I say he was?

    Ingram has been in the championship before, he's never proven he's up to the level. Maybe when he joined QPR, moving up from L2 was too big a step and he was young. But he was very highly rated when he signed for QPR, they signed him on a 4.5 year deal but obviously never fancied him. He didn't get much of a look in for us either, so I think it's more than fair to have reservations. I'm pretty sure last summer, the HDM said he was somebody we were happy to move on.

    So who should be sign then?

    Ingram is more then capable at championship level and if he's our no1 then I'd be more then happy.

    I hope he is as I really liked him this season. But as it's such a specialist position we do need that security of another good keeper.

    I know you've got no clue, that's abundantly clear.

    I don't see why MacGillivray is a stupid suggestion & he's in our budget.

    How do you know I've never seen him? I've got all the ifollow games this season through IPTV and I've watched a lot of L1.

    How do I know he's in our budget? He's on a free & been on L1 wages, Pompey have a similar L1 wage bill to us, ours might be slightly higher if Ehab was telling fibs.

    Burke is going to leave because triggering his new deal would cost us £10k a week (Telegraph).

    Which is a good indication of where we are at the moment, as the average wage in the Championship last season, was just shy of £29k a week.

    We're likely to see some significant wage deflation this season, a lot of clubs are in trouble and there's a lot to said for where we are at the moment, but as things stand, we'll definitely have one of the smallest budgets (unless the new fella comes in and starts raising the bar).
