Right. I’m going to say this in a positive way due to us finishing 12th.

Miggy is all about hard work. He’s lightweight. He can’t pass well. He doesn’t create that much.

    Is he a good player?
is he over rated because he works hard?
In a different type of team would he be better?
Is he (god I’m going here) any better than Joelinton?

He’s a canny worker who has decent purple patches but if him, Carroll, Joe and Hendrick went in the Summer I’d not be too fussed.

Not long since his knee injury.. He's not been great, but we need him in our squad.

It's players like hendrick, gayle, the Longstaffs and Carroll that we don't need.

The problem is he being asked to do the running of all our central midfielders as well as doing his own job.

Jonas did the same but with Jose Enrique.

    Hi
    s passing today was bad.

To be fair: ASM was also poor.

People said the same about Jonas. He's knackered.

Maybe. He’s had to run for miles without the ball.

His lass has also had a baby. Maybe that’s taking some toll.

He just hasn’t really done much of late. Maybe an assist against Leicester city.

No maybe about it. All you see in our games is him running 80 yards back to defend. Then run forward 80 yards to attack. More often than not players in that position fail to find their man.

I like him and I think there is a lot more there than we are seeing. There have been flashes and the good thing is throughout he has ran his socks and been 100%. About this stage in his time in England, Solano put it all together. Let’s hope Almiron can do the same. I think he’s made of the right stuff and id like him to be part of any squad because you need players like that to set the benchmark in terms of effort. I think we made this mistake with Milner and Aaron Hughes. I’m hopeful too, there is definite ability there. His decision making needs work, he needs good coaching and I’m sure Jones etc is working on it. He’s coming to an age where he should be in his peak years.

I would confidently say that most Newcastle fans like Almiron. We love a player who grafts, and puts his heart in, and he does.

I do think he's limited. Too often he drives with the ball and makes the wrong decision. The wrong pass, or he doesn't look up and gets tackled.

He loses the ball quite easily too, and isn't clinical. He's had small purple patches but I don't tend to back him if he's through on goal.

I don't think the system helps but he's also not clinical for Paraguay. He's the player that you can find a home for if there are better quality players around him.

If his role is to work hard, close the midfield down and break than he can do that. Just needs to improve on that final third

Almiron is very good at hard work, I also think he's good at sliding though balls behind the defense. He just struggles a bit more with the simple things when ( as usual for us) there isn't a forward available

I remember someone saying he was our best player only last month. He's definitely not. He's the best player in our side when the best players are out. He's a harder worker, and every so often pops up with quality, but not good enough if we want to progress. Paying our then transfer record for an MLS player was stupid.

Would do better in a foreign league probably.

Longstaffs are OK as squad players who we keep as back up... Well Sean anyway, Matty's form has gone right off the cliff.

Get rid of Hendrick, Carroll, Fraser, and Matty.

As for Miggy, he does a lot and makes things happen, Willock has got the goals, but Miggy breaks teams down, since Willock, ASM and Miggy started playing together, there's been a huge difference.

I like Almiron. Think him, St Maximin and Wilson are the only real attacking threats we have. The three work well together. Only thing I dont like about him is the lay acting when he gets the softest foul.

Ummm....Willock? Or are you assuming we won't get him?

Joelinton doesn't offer much attacking threat, but is good playing behind those guys.

I think Miggy is fine. He works his arse off and does whatever job he's told too.

Reminds me of Jonas who i loved

Except for the loving of Jonas.

I would also prefer if people could keep their personal lives personal. :emoticon-0145-shake
