Assuming we do the right thing, thank Bruce for his work and then shift him on, who do you want as manager?

Personally I really want to see a modern manager come in. I'm sick of watching us play stop the oppo. I know Bruce has erred us towards more progressive style in recent weeks, but its the same as previous seasons where we only open up at the end when the pressure is off, masking what's gone before.

I'm gonna chuck it out there. I think we should be going all out for Graham Potter from Brighton. I like what he is trying to do there on a ridiculously tight budget. They play modern football and I think if you chucked Wilson in the Brighton team they'd have had a good season. They've had us chasing shadows and played us off the park at times in recent years, for all they've normally ended in a draw.

He should really be getting a top 6 chance but you know he won't. He's had an outstanding career so far. He is also very very close friends with none other than Graeme Jones (think they may have done their badges together). It was Jones who recommended Potter for his massive success story at Ostersund.

Failing that I'd like to see Marcelo Gallardo

I think it's safe to assume he'll be the one if the takeover happens

I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than have that type of footy again.

He'd certainly understand the fanbase. Think he's done ok in his short coaching roles but massive risk.

I really like the idea of a Potter/Jones combo.

Yes I see this being a good opportunity. With a good world renowned director of football to get the players in.

Because that will be the problem with Potter potentially. He doesn’t have the sex factor does he.

If f*cking Benitez comes back I'll dangle my wet testicles over an electric fence until the inevitable happens and I leave this mortal coil.

I think he is obviously developing a reputation, but he seems to be more appreciated away from these shores. I think that's potentially a good point. If you had the right buyer, with the reputation and understanding of the modern game, I think Potter would make it work.

Marcelo Gallardo's reputation just grows and grows. South American CL last night. River had 20 absences due to COVID, and all of their keepers were missing. A request to register their 5th and 6th choice keepers was rejected (outrageous). They had no subs.

Enzo Perez (a 35 yr old midfielder) goes in nets. Bear in mind also Perez was actually on the injured list and rushed himself back to give a MOTM performance.

They win the game 2-1 and top their group. All masterminded by none other than Marcelo Gallardo. This guy's greatness has no limits.

Not exactly thrilled when any of the alternatives but Gattuso, Howe, and Martinez are improvements on Bruce for sure

Roberto Martinez linking up with Jones sounds like a better plan to me.

It's Bruce and Jones unless the takeover happens in which case both will be gone

Not quite outrageous. All teams could have 50 in their squad but Gallardo decided it wasn’t necessary. They didn’t pick more than a usual squad and the FA decided you had your chance and blew it.
