My take on this is that they have to be seen to be trying to decline the takeover to satisfy the big six and Bein. If they lose the arbitration they save face and can say they did what they could.
Their consistent delays tell me that they know their case is weak and are trying to delay the inevitable.

It really is a nuke that MA has dropped isn’t it. I mean he is not messing is he. What if CAT happened and it was proved the PL didn’t do any wrong. Does that flip to MA and does he get into trouble for say slander?
No. You cannot defame in court documentation. NUFC must have some fairly damning evidence to even think of launching a CAT claim. They are not cheap. They are effectively saying that the top level of football is corrupt and designed to prevent competition to six clubs. That is just insane. It is a hydrogen bomb. He has basically said to the PL 'I will make this public no matter what' and they are ****ting themselves.
Well whose to say that if the arb falls in our favour he drops the CAT case. But then A.N.OTHER prem club takes it on. Or the legal courts take it up upon themselves as a matter of public interest?
