Academy player Kyrie Pierre has joined Aston Villa for a record fee received by the academy for a player. Kyrie impressed Villa scouts when playing for the academy sides.
Another good player we have let go but I wish him well with many good performances for Aston Villa as long as they are not playing the Rovers.
Full article can be found on Bristol Rovers
According to Bristol Live Rovers received a 6 figure fee

Apparently got £200k for him plus a few add on's too. Would get less if done by a tribunal.

Seems to be a good deal for a 15year old, and if he is that good when we offered him a contract the big clubs would come in and steal him off us for next to nothing

Scott Sinclair would have been useful for a few years too...

Bradley Burrows has followed Kyrie Pierre and joined Aston Villa, at 13 years old. Rovers have received a fee plus add on's for Bradley who is a winger capable of plying left or right side

May as well scrap the academy. Waste of time. The money spent on keeping it going and getting the occasional good player in it that the likes of City, Cardiff, Southampton, and many other clubs have missed out, they will end up taking them anyway for loose change after we do the hard work.

Maybe Villa might have some decent defenders we can loan that won't cost us an arm and a leg in fees or wages

Let Rovers and Villa become affiliated and that would mean they get first dibs on players and they would send players to us fee free.

So Mings, Burrows and Pierre all at Villa. Is there any other Gas connections there? Wasn’t Garry Thompson part of their academy’s set up?
