Lincoln's away record is much better than their home one. For that reason, I want us to put the tie to bed on Wednesday night and dent whatever hope they thought they had. If we apply ourselves right, there's no reason why we can't mirror what we did down there this season, although I do think they will score. 3-1 to the Lads is very realistic before we finish the job on Saturday. Brilliant matchday post again RTB!!
Moving on from Mull tomorrow and will be in Fort Augustus on Wednesday and hoping for a good Wi-Fi signal. Two years ago we were in the Outer Hebrides when we faced Portsmouth twice so hoping for another positive result again. Come on lads set me up for a comfortable journey home on Saturday instead of having to worry about the match. It's our time this season bring it on.
We went for an interview in Fort Augustus, for an ex-Scotland Rugby players estate and came 2nd ... ... the lad who got the job was an ex-military Gurkha who, tbf, was much better suited to the job. Still, I'd have loved to have spent a few years there.
All about the mental approach. Just got to play without fear......be professional....if we go behind at any time....don't panic....(Mr Mannering). If it takes penalty kicks to get through so be it. Just focus on the finish line. It's all about the win not the performance. We have enough skill, know how to do this.....it's just if you want it enough. Got to go there to get the win in my opinion....letter of intent from minute one. If we can put this to bed in the first leg....we would all benefit from that.....faint hearts win f*ck all.
I assume Wyke will start if fit, but I'd be so tempted to play Stewart - they won't be expecting him and will no doubt have based all their tactical work on stopping crosses into Wyke I'd go: Burge McLaughlin Wright O'Nien Hume Power Leadbitter Jones Gooch McGeady Stewart Subs: Matthews, Flanagan, Younger, Winchester, Diamond, Maguire, Wyke Assuming everyone is fit (which they aren't of course)
LJ: "There are a couple out whom I won't reveal just yet; we also have a couple back which helps us a lot." Stewart, Vokins, Flanagan are back by the look of that. So who is out?
Being a professional footballer now must be amazing. The facilities clubs have blows my mind. Imagine going to work in a place like that. Must be awesome. Our training facilities are something else and so are other 'bigger clubs'. I get to go into a few and every time I am just blown away. I used to go to St Georges park a lot. That is unreal and if you havent try and make a visit. The sheer size and quality will take your breath away. Every time I was there I was like a kid in a sweet shop. Not all the money in football goes on player wages thankfully.
Thats the same lineup ive hone for aswell. I dont think we can get much stronger based off the group of players Johnson likes to pick from
