Not wrong though is he. Like little Kawente who travels 5 miles everyday to collect water for her family. Move to the water source Kawente ffs. If my neighbours kept lobbin bangers at my house, I’d move.
"they're starvin' ye dopey ****" "give 'em seeds" "ok, how do ye plant seeds" "Ok, put em in the ground, then water-" "aint got water ye dopey ****. good job ye dopey ****"
Can only give my own take ... the establishing of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories is, without question, a flagrant breach of International Law and if it was Iran, Iraq, Libya or ISIS attempting such territorial expansion in the Middle East there would likely be a UN Peace keeping force sent in PDQ plus hefty sanctions aimed at forcing them back into line... Israel seems to be immune from such action, largely because the US will never back any UN resolutions that are punitive towards Israel ... you don't have to be a genius to work out why that is. I find it incredibly sad and also unpalatable that the 'civilised West' is prepared to stand by and do nowt about the massacre of civilians on the scale that is happening in Gaza... if Israel was to withdraw completely from the occupied territories to the original legal boundaries I would be wholly supportive of any action it takes to maintain the security of those boundaries ... but what has been happening since 1967 is simply expansionism and ethnic cleansing on a scale unprecedented since WWII. Leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth.
I think you mean ‘flagrant’ lol @FosseFilberto But yeah, any other country doing that and the might of the international military machine would come raining down on them. Just out of interest though, and I’ve got my opinions on it, but why do you think the US won’t uphold the UN directives on Israel’s breach of their directives ?
Because over the past 70 years it's become infiltrated at every level by right wing bible-bashing religious fundamentalists who believe in "end of days" prophecies, neo-conservatives with their geopolitical agenda, and supporters of the extremist organisation AIPAC who lobby them - all of whose finances and political clout they rely on and are afraid of losing. Of course it doesn't do any harm for many to support the same ideology as well.
Indeed. It's entwined with the very fabric of US politics. As for AIPAC, they should be disbanded imo. No way should a lobby group like that have access to Congress. But then we see similar in the UK with the CFI who have a direct ear to Boris and the rest of his cronies.
I think that's unrealistic and a waste of time. The recent elections in congress have seen ppl being elected who may rebel against their influence but the bigger party machine may force them to conform. I think the best solution is for people at the highest level to talk in secret, behind the scenes so they're not influenced by such organisations or those I mentioned earlier, like they did successfully in the late 80's and 90's, and negotiate a two-state solution Then put political and financial pressure/incentives to push it through. I just don't believe openly public peace initiatives work in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, they never have in the past, as too many ****s on both sides try to scupper it.
An Italian port workers’ union has refused to load an arms shipment destined for Israel, as the country’s military continues to unleash air strikes on Gaza. Union staff in the Tuscan city of Livorno would not load the shipment, claiming they had discovered it was destined for the Israeli port of Ashdod. “The port of Livorno will not be an accomplice in the massacre of the Palestinian people,” the L’Unione Sindacale di Base (USB) said in a statement. The USB claimed the ship contained “weapons and explosives that will serve to kill the Palestinian population” – citing research by a Genoa-based campaign group called The Weapon Watch. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...lestine-arms-livorno-port-italy-b1848773.html Maybe they should level the playing field just let both sides batter the **** out of each other with home made weapons instead. Reckon that would change the dynamic a bit
