It's strange how it effects people in different ways, it was about two days worth of side effects after the first jab, but nothing ( so far ) after second. Not that I am complaining of course. Credit to all those people that have volunteered in the vaccination programme, I hope that somehow they are rightly recognised for the fantastic spirit and effort that has been demonstrated.

Exactly, I'd rather put up with side effects than be on a ventilator or even worse.

    Spot on mate...

The nurse who looked after me at the Nightingale was as pizzed off as me with GP surgeries. Until the govt offered £25 a jab they were not interested in vaccinations.
Nowadays of course they prefer a telephone call rather than a visit to your home or face-to-face at the surgery ( and that was before Covid19). I cannot see the point in local GP surgeries if they are just a call centre. Perhaps it would be preferable to have larger health centres, with GPS in them where a lot if basic scan and tests can be actioned on site?
GPs do spend a lot of time on social/mental health issues. A larger health centre could have specialists for this on site also.

Genuinely hope you don't get Covid mate and I respect your choice. You should do likewise to people who see the vaccine as a way of making themselves safe. I take it that you and your family don't believe in vaccines, so haven't had the MMR or Tetanus jabs either?

    Silly....

You probably believe the world is flat.

The Earth came into existence 6,000 years ago..

Rubbing your arse with a raw spud is a universal remedy for all ills

Why wouldn’t you have the COVID vaccine but get others? What’s the difference?

You cannot argue logically with the likes of Corbyn or his brother or even Trump supporters... they are beyond reason they will believe what they want to believe. Be it vaccines, climate change or how old humans in one form or another have been on the planet. Eg
Apparently in Northern Ireland the DUP have elected some nutter as their leader.

We can but hope their genes die out.

from June 23rd iirc Drs Surgeries have been directed by the Ministry of Health to revert back to pre Covid practices the first of which is to see patients face to face so will be intersting to see how that pans out.
in fairness to our surgery if we ask to see a GP we get to see a GP and have done from several weeks now.

He's got a choice like everyone and he's made his.
Why don't you respect that instead of mouthing off slagging him like the majority of morons on social media who play the "look at me card" then go against everything they preach when out.

I wear a mask out of respect for others. Yet I hear or read others slagging people off for misdemeanor's they themselves then flount or worse.
Have you stuck to the rules 100%?
Are you so gullible as to believe everything the government and press tell you ?
They break the rules too you know ;) :p

More chance of a road accident than covid. I'll wait till they come round my house or send me one in the post

Cos it's fcuking morons like him and Bonko saying Covid 19 was not a problem that resulted in my Mum catching it and dying plus 150,000 others as well.

Stupidity costs lives some folk are not making sure their kids have the MMR vaccine. This will result in more deaths, probably kids. Do I respect their view, like fcuk I do.

Bonko it seems put off the India ban, cos he thought he might pop over and do a trade deal... let's see what happens...

Ps perhaps you could a trip, to a hot spot walk around and chat with the locals at Bolton?...do a post on what you find

Both me and Mrs Draig had about 4 days of being pretty bad after our first (Oxford) jab and that has put my son off having a jab (at least until he is past all his A-level assessments).

He has already refused the offer of the Oxford jab from our GP and won't call our rainbow vaccination centre to arrange a Pfizer jab.

That's his choice and I don't berate him for it.

Surprisingly so far the UK has relatively few vaccine refuseniks. In the over 50s we are well on course to hit herd immunity, with vaccination uptake at about 95%

I wonder just how well we will manage with the under 25s though - especially after so many months of stressing how Covid wasn't such a problem for them.

Had my second jab at 10 am yesterday! As you can see it’s 4:25am and I’m awake! Red hot, soaked in sweat (mot for a good reason) pounding headache and simply can’t sleep!! Hope this doesn’t last too long

Well over 24 hours since my second AstraZeneca, no side effects at all, which is quite pleasant as I had prepped myself to expect them as I had two days worth after the first.

If you don't think this vaccine would help to protect you, why would you feel any different about any other vaccine?

Mrs Draig has straw polled her Facebook friends and says it seems most people have the worst reaction to the first Oxford jab and to the second Pfizer jab.
