It’s not where I want us to be but I think I’d rather be in that than nothing at all to be honest. At the very least it’s a good chance for many of our youngsters to start games and that could prove invaluable going forwards for them.
As long as we treat it as experience for our fringe/U23 players, it could be a positive. The first 11 should never even be in the squad.
Currently we have three or four first choice players and 20 others vying for the other places. That would be a good outcome if they were each a bit better.
Gerd Muller held the record for being the youngest player to score twice in the final for 54 years. He lost it twice last night.
I hope you are referring to our future captain and @Dier Hard 's favourite midfielder over the past 4 seasons?
Kudos to you two for even getting a third, let alone the fourth. I was simply rephrasing Power’s “three or four” quote.
Most protestors were peaceful, but as with all demonstrations there will be a more aggressive element, some of whom will be nothing to do the cause, but hijack it, infiltrate and agitate because that’s what they do. Some want to cause problems for the club. This is why the laws around protests are becoming ever more restrictive. There are always a minority who cause trouble. That doesn’t reflect on the club or the vast majority of fans, whether protesting or not.
He’s in that category of “will be great”, like Joe Rodon and Joe Rodon’s magic hat, so I guess you get half a point.
we are taking a gap year from Europe so that we don’t have to go to the middle of **** knows where to play a team that no one has heard of and whose name scores 29 at Scrabble. A gap year would be good to regroup and aim for 6th next season
