Just said we have fantastic support, we won't be celebrating a bottom half finish and we want to be top 10..

He said fans don't have unrealistic expectations and have the right to want their club to do well.

"It takes time, we haven't got the capability to change it around, it takes more than one transfer window.

"We have to keep moving forward. Breaking into the top 10 or top 12 is the next step."

Basically his next aim is to achieve what Rafa did 2-3 years ago.

Essentially says the squad is **** apart from Willock and Callum and we have to slowly add new players each season, takes a swipe at Villa (obviously) and says we can't do what they do to break in to the top 10.

Says he has a contract here and unless he hears otherwise, he's not going anywhere.

It was going well until you removed the quotation marks and just made **** up. Do you work for the Daily Mail per chance?

The dumbing down of fans, they now want to watch **** football. Even Bruce has played more entertaining footy overall than Rafa, and he's ****.

    I didn't make anything up.

"Look, I hope so. I've got a contract and until I hear otherwise, I'm going to crack on.

"We are doing pre-season at the moment, we're putting all the plans in place. Conversations will be had and that's what I can say on it."

"I believe we've got the makings of a decent team when everyone's fit. Of course, when we can add to it, that bit more quality...we've seen the quality which Allan has shown, which Callum has shown, which Joe Willock has shown.

"These are really good players at this level so, slowly but surely, we'll have to add to them and get a squad together that the supporters enjoy, that they can support, and that's the most important vision for me like everyone at the club I'm sure."

Seriously Bruce has absolutely destroyed the Bruce out brigade.

They're going to look silly on Wednesday and they'll get absolutely torn apart by the media now.

Bad timing hold your fire lads.

It’s how you finish and all that. I agree with you, he’s done the job requested of him. There isn’t much to choose between him and Rafa.

I still don’t rate him though even if I will concede the football has been better to watch since Wilson and ASM returned.

did you not want him out? <laugh>

I did yes, but I'm big enough to be real and just say fair play to him and I was wrong.

Long term id like him replaced but if Ashley's staying there's no need to change because the decision Bruce made to bring on Jones has proved to be very good management and we're now playing well and getting results.

The fans are going to look bad if they continue to press fwd at this point.

Didn't you put several posts on here that it was all about Jones - do you not still believe that?

I said that we'd see an immediate improvement when Jones was employed and we won 2-0 at Everton..

I'm fully aware that I wanted Bruce out during the bad spell, but to continue and complain when we're not losing many and beating good sides would be ridiculous.

The fact is Bruce asked for Jones, so he's pulled of a managerial masterstroke that's turned it around and he deserves some credit.

I'm being a man and saying fair enough and giving him that credit.

It's better to say fair enough i was wrong than to press fwd at this point.

For me there are three ways of looking at it.

1.) Up to Jones coming in it was awful. Bruce was failing and causing a ****ing mess. Football was crap: results where worsen Proper ****storm.

2.) After Jones came in then things improved. We got some good results and some bad ones but enough to get us through. This is where @captain wrong wrong is: but seems be ignoring point 1. The balance of argument purely being since the Jones appointment.

3.) Balanced review of the season as a whole. Poor to average: bare minimum. Massive mistakes and terrible performances. Bottom feeder results and terrible statistics but some balanced out by some (thankfully) late results. This is where is am at and I suspect most fans are.

You can’t just choose a point in the season and from then onwards praise someone without looking at the bigger picture.

If it had been the other way around and we had started well, was top 7/8 and then won 2 of the last 22 games and ended up 17th you would be saying wtf was that about!
