Massive rebuilding in the summer then, especially if we go up. The first thing Sir Alex was told by Jimmy Sirrel about management was not to let too many contracts run down at the same time.

We know Watson's contract will be extended, the rest depend on our division.

Ironic, as Watson is actually the player who least deserves a contract extension.

i'd happily let the lot leave if it meant gallen has from now till august to scout and sign up some better players. our squad at the moment is mid table league one at best.

    Agreed.
Let them all go, possibly except Amos.
Especially if we do go up.
I guess if we are still in the 3rd tier we might still need two or three (at most) of the defenders.

Bournemouth and Stoke have also had offers accepted. Rangers and Celtic are also interested.

This isn't rocket science but I think much depends on who we would be able to replace them with. Anyone who could be replaced with someone better, then let them go.

Possible, short new contracts for Amos, Matthews, Shinnie, Aneke and JFC (out of loyalty and a sense of right and wrong).

Don't know enough about Vennings and Dempsey, but I'd trust NA's experience to know if they will become good enough.

I' m seeing a rumour elsewhere that Amos wants to move out. Not confirmed though.

If true, I'm sure he's good enough to sit on the subs bench at a Championship club.

Think he'd be easy enough to replace as there's usually more keepers than 1st team places. Keep him if he wants to stay, but if not then let him go, with our thanks.

Opportunity for AM-B, who is highly rated, especially with the owner and manager committed to developing Academy talent.

Liked Shinnie but horses for courses new manager didn’t fancy him it happens all the time ,we move on.
Wish he didn’t rate Watson as well tho

Thought Shinnie looked a class act when he started, but didn't tick a box for Adkins. I suppose he has a master plan, and players lined up. Should be exciting, and in a good way - not like last summer!

Watson has a one-year extension on his contract. Not so easy to get rid.

Fair enough But Adkins seems to rate him as he’s started under his reign ..hopefully he’s on the bench or not in the squad next season

This season was probably a season too far for Watson. Time for him to hang up his boots. He was very popular with Forest fans, so has been good in his time. Adkins will be looking for someone younger to do the DM job.
