I like Roy Hodgson and think he has done a decent job at Palace. It seems like he will go into retirement at the end of this season and you sense that after several seasons of stability, Palace will once again make a risky appointment which leaves their fans sweating regarding their security next season. The last few years have seen Palace frustrate Saints and generally get the better of us in cup competitions. I think that this will happen again tomorrow and they will continue to be awkward opponents for us.Under Hodgson, , Palace have become a stable team and if Hodgson was younger, I would not grumble if he took over the reins at Southampton.

To be honest, I am finding the end of this season to be tedious. This is little to take from the matches for Saints fans and the inability to go th St Mary's and watch the match makes it very difficult to build up the usual levels of empathy. From my perspective, the team just needs to get over the line and hang in there for next season. We will probably have to rely on other teams to achieve this.

Agreed, but I don't think we need rely on other teams. I think we win this one, and the Fulham game.

That's all that matters for now. I said a couple of weeks ago that we might not like where we end up in the final table, especially after our early season success, but right now success has been achieved in that we now look forward to a better season next time round as part of the PL.

Palace did what they had to do and won the game ensuring their safety. I can definitely see them not being as committed in this game. We had presumably been earmarking this game as the win we need to ensure our safety. Difficult to know how much the last two evenings results and our safety being so meekly presented to us will affect our performance and attitude. Ralph won't want them to take it lightly, but its human nature. Hopeful we will win this anyway.

Nah! I promise not to start until we are 0-3 down! :bandit:

Predict a bore-draw or a 1-1. The one thing l am looking forward to is how quickly JWP can annoy a certain spoilt little you-know-who :emoticon-0173-middl

The whole JWP v Zaha thing might actually work against us this time in that Zaha has been off the boil for most of the season. Might actually fire him up to try and get one over JWP for once.

The look on James’ face when the second yellow is given is worth diamonds.

I think it has to come 2nd though to that tackle he made on Zaha at Selhurst last season. I was there and it was brilliant. Absolutely crunched him with a perfect tackle. :)
