I love away day trips and meeting up with old friends, family and fellow posters. It's always a great pleasure to meet G.K,Urika and Driffield lads I was at School with.I'm selfishly hoping that Sunderland go up,or worst case scenario Blackpool, both are do-able by train.

We often get asked by friends and relatives up here if we can bring them South for some Football education,we're happy to oblige and we've had several requests for next season already...

Hopefully there'll be many more similar meetings when football gets back to normal and you and I will enjoy a pint together:emoticon-0148-yes:

I was at that game with my girlfriend (a massive supporter) we lost and I think Pearson got sent off for calling the linesman a ****ing onion. Also Peter Swan, who'd served a long term ban for taking bribes returned for Wednesday. My girlfriend's dad didn't like it when I suggested he'd paid the ref to send Pearson off.

Hope you don’t mind a few more have done a lot of trips since about 69
Went to Blackpool 73 we lost 4-3 I think Neill Young was with them at the time and he scored a great free kick to win the game - we were guttering was end of March by the sea we thought it would be good - we were wrong ! We got sand blasted on the front only half the lights were on , we sat for about hour and half in a pub with half of mild until the landlord kicked us out - by the end of the night there was an awful lot of City graffiti down the side of their stand .
Think there were coachloads of Scots down for the weekend I think it was a tradition
Been a few times more with mixed results and mixed times

Early 70's - Run a few errands for me mam throughout the week to top up my pocket money for coach and entrance fees .Rock up outside of YEB on Ferensway on game day and find a coach with a couple of spares seats for me and my mate (none of this online booking malarky in that era <laugh>). Exciting times for a teenager with Hull City pulsing through his veins.
Stockport and the Coventry games in the FA cup were some of the first and more memorable awaydays.

Typically I didn't go to the 1-0 win but was there the following year for the 3-0 loss. All I can remember is that there seemed to be city fans everywhere.

Technically, my first away game with Hull City was Winterton in Brucie's first season in charge where we won 5-0. Hatrick from Simpson and then Fryatt and Devitt got the others. Followed by Rochdale 11 days later where Robbie Koren scored the only goal. The first competitive was against Sheffield Wednesday when McLean scored and we only had 6 subs on the bench. My first ever away game was actually at Wakefield following Hull KR
