Charlton fan in peace. Good game, and happy with our win despite the Oxford result, although I imagine it would have panned out differently if you had something to play for. You guys looked like the holidays were starting after half time, but you were clearly worthy champions, so not much to add but congratulations and good luck next year.
You have a great manager in Nigel. I’m sure he’ll get you up next season, plus he’ll have you winning every single warm up We all have a lot of time for Nigel, he’s a good man.
Good luck for next season, you have a decent manager in Adkins and he is the person who can sort out Maddison and find the football player inside of him.
Funnily enough I thought in the 1st half we didn't miss Honeyman at all but the front 3 weren't really at the races. 2nd half it all went off the boil.
All a bit of an anticlimax really, first half I thought we were the better side, and should have scored at least one goal. 2nd half we just didn't seem to turn up, already on the beach came to mind. First half I thought Slater and Docherty were very good in midfield, Whyte did okay, but he is better out wide. KLP had a poor game, nothing seemed to stick with him today. Wilk's was his usual frustrating self. Emmanuel was good when he came on, and is certainly looks better going forward than Coyle, but Coyle is better defensively. Pity about the own goal, it would have been nice to have kept the clean sheet and finished off the season with the unbeaten run intact. Well, my 64th season supporting City comes to an end, what will the 65th bring I wonder?
When Elder went off, we seemed to lose the attack on the left, Coyle, had to keep turning back onto his right foot, which lost us the momentum.
Bet365, using their build a bet Shame own goals don't count in the goals markets. I was really hoping he'd go and do the scoring at both ends thing. Oh well
