Dortmund have a buy back clause I believe and talking about him being potential Haaland replacement. Think Sociedad want his release clause which is 70m, which we obviously are not getting anywhere near. Haven’t looked at a list of free transfers this summer, but that seems likely where we will be looking in the main
Yikes, didn't realise he'd come on that much. How about Henrik Larsson's kid, playing for Spartak. Could be the cheap Swede we need!
Myron Boadu is going to be a top player, not sure how skint Dutch clubs are these days but might be someone we could target with our usual sales pitch of “play well here and we’ll let you leave in a couple of years”
I think next season will be a three-horse race for the title between City, Utd and Chelsea. West Ham have had a good season but unsure whether they will be able to repeat this in 21/22. Liverpool will have to re-build too, in my opinion.
Depends who these three buy in the summer, any of them picking up the likes of Kane would give them a big advantage
Sorry, the budget will only allow us to purchase Henrik's other son, Darryl, who is a plumber by trade but a reasonable hand at FIFA.
True but some decent guesses in there. Armstrong, Henry and Bogle I would see as a good window. Think we already have plenty of options for the wing / '10' role - unless we lose someone..
Maybe Ralph has seen Theo’s dreadful performances over the last three games and not going to offer him a permanent move. I must admit at the moment I wouldn’t want him even a on a free, his wages could be used elsewhere
Tend to agree there. I do love the chap for his attitude, but unless the question is "who can we get on a free to fill up some spaces, but who is pretty average these days", then I don't know what "Theo Walcott" is the answer to.
At the fans forum the other day, Martin Semmens seemed to imply the decision to keep him had already been made - just need to finalise the contract. I think he gives us the much needed 'option from the bench'. I don't think Ralph ever envisaged him playing as much as he has but injuries forced his hand. That said, he has some work to do before next season. His close control with the ball sometimes lets him down as does his decision making occasionally. On the plus side there have been moments of pure genius to enjoy. His pace is still there - he just needs to show a bit more self belief.
As I said last night, I so want the romance of Theo returning, but unless his form returns, it will be like getting SRL back in his current guise.
I don’t know if I’m missing something but even in our good run at the start of the season I can’t remember Walcott being anything special? And his form at Everton was terrible as well, I think he is just finished in the top flight. Happens to a lot of players who start first team football at 16/17, they fizzle out earlier than most other players
Anything more than a one-year deal for Theo is a mistake, as it was with Long's extension. Lovely fellow; of questionable use as a footballer.
