Liverpool's bent mayor has been replaced. Joe Anderson (Labour) has left and Jo Anderson (Labour) is the new one.
Note that's not the Lib Dems she got less than half the votes of, but the Liberal Party. Nope, me neither. She also lost to the anti-vax, anti-lockdown Freedom Alliance and Greg Energy Advisor, who had no party at all or any kind of label.
That's a little misleading. She didn't come in the top 5! Labour, Stephen Yip (Independent), Lib Dem, Greens, Liberal Party, Tory. They lost to two different liberals and got less than half the green vote. Liverpool really, really doesn't like the Conservatives.
Nothing to see here, just former Brass Eye star David Amess admitting in his own election paraphernalia that the Tories intentionally underfund Labour councils, which just so happens to create the Narrative of Labour councils needing to be bailed out by the Tory government because you can't trust Labour with anything please log in to view this image This isn't an exaggeration, either, as I've seen Chris Philp blatantly gaslight people on his Twitter feed by claiming that Croydon's Labour council had slashed funding for the area as if their funding hadn't be slashed to the bone from Westminster which he just so happened to do on the day that Croydon was trending on Twitter since that bloke with the Brazilian Covid variant was found there after walking straight through quarantine without any trouble (but I'm sure that has nothing to do with him trying to game Twitter's search algorithm...) Now there's certainly a crumb of truth to the Narrative of Labour taking northern and Scottish seats for granted, particularly under The Dear Leader, but the Tories are going out of their way to make sure Labour councils can't support their communities and they're being blatant with it, yet the electorate continue to fall for it like the gullible dupes they are
