I thought Leeds showed that they have improved through the season, their energy was tireless. However I am not convinced by both offside decisions and it could easily have been 2 - 2 That would have been a tough game however well we played.
I think their one was quite comfortable. Looked a couple of feet on to me, just watching it live. Ours was level on the VAR. Stupid decision by an official that we don't get **** off. Ever.
JM and Levy gave him him a new, highly paid contract (rumoured to be £80k per week)... and as: 1. no one is gonna pay him those wages and 2. He is crap so we are stuck with him.
We need a major rebuild. We can't afford to buy a full team, particularly when players that look excellent in european leagues generally perform so badly in the prem. I'd suggest a manager who knows the championship inside out might be the way to go.
we need someone in midfield who has their head screwed on. I’m so disappointed with Lo Celso and Ndombele’s attacking threat. They are not doing what the team requires. Until we have that midfielder, we will remain disjointed and our attack starved. sell and sell
You are probably right, (and I know that this my biased Spurs head talking), but VAR never seems to spend as long looking at goals scored against us as for us. Its not the first time this season - Against Liverpool they spent an age deciding Sons heel (running in the wrong direction) was off, but no time at all on VAR call on Liverpools goal that looked equally tight, today was much the same.
I have to take very strong pain killers for my back problem from time to time and wake up how our defence played today , it's not much fun nor was watching this shower at the back today
A change in the offside law is needed. The benefit of the doubt should be given to the attacker. An offside should be at least by a clear foot. No other body part should count.
Wenger has suggested that an attacker should be onside if any part of his body is level with a defender. I think that just moves the VAR line back a bit and doesn't really help that much. Other leagues don't bother with the stupid lines and just have a look from the best camera angle. Speeds it up and allows for really narrow, borderline decisions, so it's not a failed attempt at some forensic bullshit.
I love how caretakers and interim managers are suddenly made full-time managers for the benefit of misleading stats
I make it 11 managers Hoddle Pleat Santini Jol Ramos Redknapp AVB Sherwood Pochettino JM Mason I ain't defending the poor choices as managers as apart from Jol, Redknapp and Pochettino they have all been poor.
