We've just had a three-day trip to Berlin, scheduled for October, cancelled (EasyJet has pulled the flights). The Germans have already cancelled the Octoberfest (approx 6 million visitors to Munich). No reason from EasyJet on the reason why they've pulled it.
I’m pissed off.‘Turkey is red list right now. I have 3 trips there starting in August. I have until end June to cancel still though. meant to be going to US in July for work but hopefully they will at worst be in amber list which will mean a couple of tests and staying at home on my return.
Personally can’t understand why anyone would want to go abroad at all at the minute, even later in the year as well. Just leave it till next year man people, put your money back into the UK economy! Each to their own of course, I’d love nowt more than a fortnight in Cyprus at the minute or anywhere hot for that matter but I’m happy to wait until other parts of the world are in a better position COVID wise.
[/QUOTE] Aye, just wish EasyJet had been up front and told us; Germany fearing another spike thus pulled flights there (either that or the plane is half empty).
Been wanting to go to Iceland (country not shop, before you start) for years for a photography trip. Looks like it might be on this year
Still hopeful of going to France in July, August and October. It's a straight drive to euro tunnel No need to speak to anyone there. Sit in car. From there straight drive to my cottage. Shopping? It's the middle of nowhere and every time I go shopping there is just me and the shop keeper. No worries €18 for a crate of Leffe. Last year it was 2 crates for €24
Nice one. We are going there with friends in 2022. Staying in a gite. Really looking forward to it. Where is your cottage mate?
Cracking mate, that seems like quite a short drive once you get through the tunnel. Do you know a smattering of French to help you in shops, bars, etc? We are looking at staying in the Dordogne, a much longer journey and wifey ain't going to share the driving
